About Me
In our line of work, we have seen how tricky it can be for parents with children who have additional needs to find the right support.
We are two women (Alice and Effie, nice to meet you!!!) passionate about supporting all parents, but particularly those with children that have additional needs. We both work in local schools and have worked in local nurseries, supporting children aged 6months-17years. Together, we have a range of experience and qualifications including trauma training, paediatric first aid, emotional literacy training, enhanced DBS, safeguarding training, and experience providing outdoor education. We have experience with makaton, and can provide an inclusive experience for you and your child, no matter their needs!
My Experience
Between us, we have ample experience working with young children, aged 6 months to 17 years old. We both currently work in local schools, one in an SEMH secondary school, and the other in a SEN unit working with pre- verbal autistic children in a mainstream primary. We have worked in nurseries since 17, providing enriching and inclusive care for young people. We have experience with makaton, and are updating our training as often as we can!
Together, we have experience with the following needs: autism, adhd, global delay, speech and language disorders, physical disabilities including sensory impairments, PDA, mental health issues, learning disabilities or difficulties and down’s syndrome.
Our experience means that we have worked with children that may display challenging behaviours. You do not need to worry about that with us if this is something your child experiences, we have seen and done it all! We are prepared and willing to support in any way we can whilst we are caring for your child.
My Qualifications
We are both educated to lvl3. We have health and social care level 3. We have current and updated enhanced DBS checks. We both undertake CPD regularly, for things like keeping children safe and safeguarding procedures. We are trauma trained, makaton trained, level2 understanding autism trained. We both have recent and current paediatric first aid certificates as well as food safety certificates. One of us is trained by torbay council in emotional literacy for children and young people.
My Availability
We are available every evening, and all day on the weekends. We obviously have a more flexible schedule during half term and summer holidays, just get in contact and we can have a chat!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Our fees are very flexible based off what is reasonable for you and your income, as well as the level of support your child may require. We start at £10 an hour but this can be lowered if needed.
We want our service to be accessible for as many people as possible as we know how difficult support is to access and our lovely SEN parents deserve a break too! Please do message us and we can have a chat about prices together.
