About Me

I am an OFSTED registered childminder and accredited Forest Childcare provider. My family and I live in Mitcham very close to St Thomas of Canterbury and St Marks Primary School (where I do school drop off and pick-up) and Mitcham Eastfields station. I am originally from France and have been living and working in the UK over the last 20 years. I started working as an Au Pair and then went on to work as a Personal Assistant. After being a working mother for 5 years I have decided to follow my passion for caring for young children. I aim to create a warm, friendly and safe environment for your child.

As a Forest Childcare provider, we will enjoy walk through the Common and the local parks (e.g. Ravensbury and Morden Hall Park), we will visit the local Children’s Centre, playgroups and playgrounds. At home we play in my back garden which is well equipped . Inside we have a variety of toys to play with and art/craft activities to stimulate our creativity. In hot weather, we enjoy splashing and cooling down in the paddling pool. During the school holidays, we enjoy trips further afield like a day by the beach, a visit to Chessington and a day at Kew Gardens. Dean City Farm is also a place we visit regularly, especially when our theme is the Farm where we learn more about the animals.

I follow the EYFS Statutory Framework which enables your child to develop both social and educational skills from an early age. I organise activities to support the development of each child’s skills. I use the Baby’s Days software to record my observations of children’s development and achievements where parents have online access to their child’s file and photos. As I have been a working mother and employed a childminder in the past, I understand the anxieties of returning to work and leaving your little one with a carer, and will endeavour to make the transition as easy as possible for both you and your child.

My daughter came to her house from when she was 8 months old until we moved our home to other area. I can't recommend her enough and also don't have enough word to say how I appreciate her caring to my baby. Our baby is a hard-to-deal-with ones, she always wanted to be on somebody and cried a lot. But Sandrine gradually made her feel comfortable and started making friends with other children. Her assistance - Simona is also very caring and has a strong bond with my baby too.

When we move our home, I couldn't find any good childminder for my daughter even when I went to see about 20 childminders around our area. That's because Sandrine was too good. She even gave me advice for how to raise her after a year apart.

I and my daughter really love her. She is my daughter's first beloved teacher. We will definitely recommend her to anyone who's looking for childminder around her area.

When I found Sandrine I was at the end of my tether and on the verge of looking for a nanny as I had met with 7 different childminders but could not find the right fit for me and more importantly my dd. As a SEN co-coordinator for a neighbouring borough, what struck me immediately was Sandrine's really lovely manner with all the children in her care. I have found her to be kind, calm and patient with them and all the children are happy and well behaved and know what’s expected of them. A recent ofsted report raised an issue which was quickly recified. However as my job mainly deals with safeguarding- I had no concerns and told the Ofsted inspector (on re-inspection) that if she had a full time vacancy for my dd, I would absolutely snap it up! I regularly recieve photos of my dd's activities including beach, farm, park and activity centre trips as well as a breakdown of what they did through the day when I collect dd.

Since dd now 2yrs old, has been going to Sandrine’s I’ve been reassured that I made absolutely the right choice. She’s so happy there and really loves Sandrine, her assistant Simone and the friends she has made in the setting. I’ve been impressed by the variety of toys and activities and have observed that the children don’t play with just gender stereotype toys. I’ve really seen dd’s progress since she started over a year ago. While she’s pleased to see me at the end of the day she’s never desperate to go home and always arrives at Sandrine's with a smile.

Whenever I’ve been inside the setting I’ve seen all the children happily and safely engaged. I’ve always felt very comfortable to ask questions about dd and her day and have found Sandrine to be very open and honest.

Sandrine has been looking after my two daughters over 2 years now! She has been amazing not only in settling them in but also in every day care. She does the drop off and pick up from school and communicates any messages, homework or issues. It does help enormously and allow me and my husband to be part of the girls learning and development.

We are working parents and using Sandrine every day for breakfast and after school time. The food is homemade with plenty fruit and vegetable. The house offers lots of toys, books and fun activities. The children have access to the back garden, again plenty of equiplment and even paddling pool for hot days.

Sandrine is very flexible and also helping during school holidays. She takes the children for day trips, for example seaside, farms or local parks for picnics. The girls are really enjoying spending time with her and made lots of new friends.

I have found Sandrine the most carrying person who always goes above and beyond when looking after children. I often dont write reviews but feel differenly this time and would highly recommend Sandrine to anyone who is loking for a great chilminder!

Sandrine is taking care of my 2 children: my 2-year-old since she was 6 months old, and my 8-year-old, since he started school. Sandrine is an excellent childminder, who provides a homely environment for children and a place where they can develop, grow, learn and have fun.
Sandrine programs activities daily for the smaller children, which are most of the time in line with the topic they are learning with her. In addition, during school holidays, Sandrine plans trips to central London (museums, parks) as well as outside of London such as seaside trips, farms and New Forest. For school children, Sandrine also organises activities when they come back from school, such as board games, arts & craft, parties (birthday, Halloween etc.), garden play or sometimes takes all the children to the park for a picnic. She also recently started French and Spanish lessons (Sandrine speaks fluently both languages) for all the children after school or encourage them to read their school book or do their homework. Sandrine does A LOT with the children, I am actually amazed by the diversity of the activities and the energy she puts in them!
My children love going at Sandrine’s and I feel confident to leave my children under her care every day.

I took my son to Sandrine when He started Reception and He didn't take long before He settles in. He constantly tells me he want to go to Sandrine's even on weekends, that is how much he enjoy being there. Sandrine help your child to grow and nurture, She go far and beyond to help both parents and kids. She was helpful when I was in difficult situation, she provides information even if its not part of her job, she provide solutions, she is more than a child minder. She allow the kids to play and grow in a safe environment, very very nice lady and I will recommend her to anyone that is looking for the best child minder around Mitcham.

My daughter is 3 years old has been going to this setting for over 2 years now. I am extermly happy with the service I have recieved over the years. The service has influenced my daughter’s total development mentally, physically and emotionally.

Sandrine has gone above and beyond to ensure that each child is treated as an individual and recieves the same amount of one to one interation as per their needs. She even ensures that 50% of the time they are in her setting is not only sent indoors but are outdoors ( park, seaside, play area, play group)as well and include other learning excursions to help with their development. These normally increase over school holiday . Meal times are planned to incorperate each child nutritional needs but still ensuring that they are meeting the dietary requirements.

My child now attending 2 settings which has not affected her negatively as the nursery staff are praising Sandrine and quite astonished by my daughter’s knowledge, interactive and behavioural skills.

Sandrine has provided a safe and interactive setting, which has aided in my toddler’s overall development.

Highly recommended .

Sandrine took care of my now just over 2yr old son for about 1.5 yrs and was fine in the beginning and our son was settled there hence we continued with her. I had a few concerns recently for last few months since her ofsted inspection in June - when she stopped/suddenly reduced doing activities with toddlers and parent reports (may be because she wasn’t doing much). It was more of a place where kids pass time in the garden rather than learning through activities. Which I mentioned to her in passing as didn’t want to annoy her as she isn’t very good with taking feedback - atleast not in my experience. But I still kept my son there as he was settled there and I was worried he won’t adjust into a new place as he was going through a ‘Stranger suspicion’ phase which she told me she just ignores him when he is scared of things rather than deal with it in a professional way!!
But I finally decided to pull the plug when one evening I went to pick up my son and I noticed ‘GAME OF THRONES’ on her TV SCREEN which kids have access to and most of the evenings are watching tV when you go pick them up!!! This just shook me as I would never watch that show while my son was awake. I decided to take him out 2 days later with immediate effect!!!
I feel so sorry for my son and bad that I had him go to her where he was probably not cared for in the way a parent expects and a child deserves for all that time.
She doesn’t even have curtesy to reply to emails - About deposit refund even through she is the one at mistake!!!
I was so scared of taking my son to another setting thinking he might not adjust and to my surprise he hasn’t even asked once for Sandrine. And while he used to cry to go to Sandrine in mornings which I thought was normal - he happily runs into new Childminder’s settings and I am so happy for him and the standard of care he is getting with new childminder.
I would steer away from Sandrine unless you have absolutely no other option at all.

Sandrine has been looking after our son for a year now and he is absolutely thriving in her care. She is so thoughtful and considerate to the children and to their parents and she makes every day so much fun for the little ones. Sandrine really nurtures their creativity and spirit of independence and we feel like our son has developed so much under her guidance.
Our son has developed a bit of a stammer recently and Sandrine has gone above and beyond and has been researching what can be done about it,. She has also been helping us as he settles into his role as a big brother and has been amazing with that.
We can't recommend Sandrine highly enough. We really feel like we hit the jackpot finding Sandrine to look after our son.

We found Sandrine after a long search for the right childcare for our daughter Alice. When we met her we knew immediately that she was the right person to look after her.

She has built a clean, caring and loving environment for Alice and the other children she looks after. Our daughter has been so happy here - well looked after, well fed and I honestly think she's enjoyed every day. They take lots of trips to the park for picnics and to see the ducks, play groups, wacky warehouse, swimming and the farm.

When they're not outside, the house is full of toys and books and she enjoys drawing, painting and doing other arts and crafts. Sandrine has a lovely garden for the children to play in and they've had fun learning about all the vegetables she grows as well.

Sandrine pays a lot of attention to each childs learning, teaching them new skills, new words and using every opportunity to help their development. We have marveled each day at the new words Alice comes out with and the new skills she has learnt, and have loved displaying her artwork and crafts on the fridge.

Sandrine keeps us up to date each day with photos and videos of what they are up to - it makes going back to work a lot easier seeing Alice's happy face. Sandrine has been very flexible and accommodating and understands balancing work and being a parent is hard.

We're only leaving because we've decided to move out of London and closer to family - we only hope that the next childcare we have will offer the same loving and stimulating environment that she's had with Sandrine.

Sandrine looked after my daughter from when she was 4 years old till she turned 7. I found Sandrine to be excellent in everything she does. I used to pick up my daughter at 6pm and most of the time she had done her homework with Sandrine's help. If I were to pick up my daughter early she would be very upset because she wanted to spend more time with Sandrine. The food was excellent. She would take the children for picnics which my daughter really enjoyed. Unfortunately we had to move.
