I moved my daughter to Anoushka after she had been tearful upon drop off every day at her previous childminder; she had just never settled in. I shared this with Anoushka who did everything she could to help my 2 year old feel happy, safe and settled. Her settling in sessions were well thought through and child focused so I knew my daughter would feel happy there. From day one my daughter never ever cried when I dropped her off and was always smiling when I collected her. Anoushka filled me in every day on what my daughter had been doing so we could chat about it and I felt as though Anoushka really got to know her, what she liked, disliked and enjoyed spending her time doing. It was a real home from home where my daughter could go and receive the love and attention every child needs when with someone who isn't their parent. Anoushka encouraged friendships between the children and my daughter's best friend is now a child she met at Anoushka's. Anoushka modelled positive traits such as sharing and turn taking and dealt with hurtful behaviour as a learning opportunity. My daughter even learnt how to use a knife and fork with Anoushka in a way she never wanted to learn from us! When my daughter left to go to school, Anoushka gave her a book of her time with her and we read it often. I can see how happy my daughter was and my daughter can remember the happy times. I would not hesitate to recommend Anoushka to a friend - and in fact I have done several times already!
