My daughter has been with Consuelo for nearly 2 years now, from when she was 18 months. She took some time to settle because she was and still is quite attached to myself (mum) but Consuelo has always been so patient and tries to put her at ease every morning. She understands that every child is different and tries to work out the best solution for the child.

My daughter has particular needs, because she has multiple food allergies and she used to suffer from bad eczema, but nothing was ever too much. Consuelo always applied the necessary creams and administered medication when necessary. In addition, she provides such lovely and healthy meals and snacks throughout the day, whilst taking into account her food allergies. She plans her meals for the week always in advance which is varied and nutritious.

The children in her care enjoy trips to many places, including play groups, different parks, farms, so has plenty of outdoor time, and otherwise spend their time doing different activities, playing in the garden and arts and crafts in her home. Her setting is beautiful, a very warm and welcoming house with plenty to do for the children. She shares her home with her husband and young daughter, who are also very friendly and are very much part of her team.

Consuelo respects the child's routine at home, and tries to stick to it as best as she can. They will nap when then need to and play and rest as necessary. In addition, my daughter completed her potty training last summer, splitting her time at home and at Consuelo's, and was out of nappies before she was 2.5 years, which would obviously not have happened without her help.

I wanted my daughter to be looked after by a childminder rather than a nursery during her early years because I wanted her to grow with a small group of children in a familiar setting, rather than being overwhelmed. This is exactly what was provided and more. She has learned very important skills before joining nursery and has grown to be a very independent and empathetic child because of her time at Consuelo's; she can wash her hands before eating, ask to go to the toilet, put her shoes and jacket on, share any toys or wait her turn, as well as all the fun stuff like singing songs, drawing, painting, making crafts, dancing, and just having a laugh.

Consuelo is the most organised and hard-working person I know. She loves the children in her care and she is practically like a second mother to my children. When I had my second child, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that Consuelo would also be her childminder too. I can't recommend her highly enough to other parents and carers.
