It is with warmth and appreciation that I write this reference for Tatiana, who worked with our family as a nanny for nearly 3 years. These have been wonderful years during which we came to rely on her deeply.
Tatiana began caring for our daughter when she was one year old, and later helped us with our son as well. She is an exceptional nanny by all measures; calm, confident, and experienced in caring for young children and babies, including managing multiple children at once. She creates a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment in which children can thrive, striking a good balance between being loving and setting firm but gentle boundaries.
One of Tatiana’s great strengths is her ability to foster development in thoughtful and creative ways. She nurtured our daughter’s love of books, crafts, and imaginative play, regularly taking her on library visits (too many to count) and involving her in baking and cooking, which quickly became a favourite activity.
Tatiana also demonstrated incredible skill and sensitivity when it came to managing toddler tantrums, always understanding exactly what our daughter needed to feel safe and calm. She helped us sleep train both of our children in a gentle, no-cry manner that aligned perfectly with our parenting values. She also managed potty training with ease, turning what is often a challenging phase into a positive experience. From a household perspective, Tatiana is also extremely organised when it comes to sorting play areas, bedrooms, laundry and organising in general, often a godsend after long weekends of childcare where the house was fairly chaotic come her arrival on a Monday morning.
Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, Tatiana consistently went above and beyond. She made herself available in emergencies, travelled with our family overseas on multiple occasions, and was always a joy to have around, both at home and while abroad.
Most importantly, Tatiana is a truly wonderful person. She adapts easily and brings warmth, reliability, and heart to everything she does. We feel very fortunate to have had her with us during these precious early years of our children’s lives.
Any family would be fortunate to have Tatiana as their nanny. I have no doubt that she will be an invaluable addition to any household and would be happy to speak further on this at any time.
