We’ve been with Ylva for 10 months since our son was 1 years old. As first time parents, she was a guardian for us navigating this new chapter. She has a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to provide us with advice.
Ylva is a warm, caring and patient person who loves children. She has a wealth of experience and is always up-to-date on the latest childcare practices. She creates a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. I also like that she is firm as it encourages my son (and me) to exhibit good behaviour.
Ylva’s home is although a couple flights up, provides perfect exercise for my toddler to practice walking up and down stairs. There is plenty of space to play, both inside and out. Ylva takes the kids to the park outside her place where the children can run around, play games and explore nature. She also takes the children on regular outings to the church stay and play, the London Zoo and school pick-ups.
Ylva provides a stimulating and educational curriculum based on the EYFS. She tailors the learning to my son’s needs and has an extensive collection of toys and educational material.
Ylva is also very communicative. She sends us regular updates on our son's day, including photos and videos via WhatsApp. She is always happy and quick to respond to our questions and concerns.
Ylva is also very careful and well trained in handling allergies, which was a non-negotiable for us as our son has a peanut and egg allergy. She was very considerate in certain situations to ask if it was okay to have cake in the same room.
Overall, Ylva is an excellent childminder and deserves the Outstanding rating from Ofsted. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.

I can't recommend Ylva highly enough - she is an excellent childminder.
Ylva took care of our daughter from when she was just a baby until she was a full-blown toddler, and we have all adored her the entire time. She is just as wonderful with babies as she is with toddlers and older children. Ylva is warm and loving and incredibly experienced and knowledgable. She pays careful attention to your child's specific needs and she tailors her care for them. She's both warmly attuned emotionally and always thinking about helping to promote their development in age-appropriate ways - play, song, movement - and she manages to somehow create an evironment that is fun, filled with learning, clear & helpful boundaries (our daughter would sleep at Ylva's and do things like take off her shoes with Ylva, even if she wouldn't at home), and the children just flourish. Ylva is also super communicative and clear, which makes working with her very easy, and she's so thoughtful about things like the children's food.
Our daughter was always wanting it to be an 'Ylva day', she always went to Ylva's with enthusiasm, and we always felt confident that she was in excellent, caring hands. As first time parents, Ylva was also incredibly helpful and supportive for us, while we learned to navigate parenthood!
We wish our daughter could have continued with Ylva forever. We only finished because we were told if our daughter didn't start at the nursery now, she wouldn't be able to have a place when she was older. I wholeheartedly recommend putting your child with Ylva, she's the best.

Ylva is absolutely wonderful. She is highly experienced, caring and nurturing, and the needs of my child and health were always at the forefront. She creates such a wonderful environment at her home, with so much stimulation for the little ones. She also provides a large variety of activities and walks/ outings (the science museum) and knew where was good to go with children. We got updated with our child’s activities over the day and also many photos each day. She is very flexible and accommodate as well. I very much recommend Ylva to anyone looking for childcare.

Ylva is a wonderful childminder and my husband, myself and our daughter could not recommend her more highly. She goes above and beyond for the children she cares for- teaching them healthy routines, providing nutrious meals, and taking them on educational outings around London (including the transport museum, natural history museum, local zoo, and parks) and is so incredibly talented and caring in what she does. During our time with Ylva, she helped guide us through the different stages of our baby’s development and always provided daily updates and photos of our daughter and what she was doing.
We trust, respect, and appreciate Ylva and all the care she gave our daughter. She is a wonderful carer and educator and we would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

Ylva was like a second mother to my children, while they were with her. She added great value to them each time they were with her, helped with homework, ensured they had fruits and milk at the right time, and they played at the right time. Her home was home away from home for my children and I like the fact that she is such an organised person.

Ylva has been taking care of our daughter M for about 3 months, starting when she was a little over 2 years old until she will start nursery in a couple of weeks. We could not be more pleased with Ylva and how M blossomed under her dedicated and all-around professional care.
M had not been in any setting prior to Ylva’s -- neither with a childminder nor in a nursery -- so understandably, it wasn’t the easiest of transitions for her. The way Ylva guided her and us alike throughout the first few weeks was entirely above our expectations. Ylva’s experience, talent, and dedication were not only limited to the settling period but was evident throughout M’s time with her -- from working on milestones to constantly giving us feedback, updates, and discussing the way forward.
To mention some examples -- in less than three months, M started to interact much more with other kids, was potty trained, got rid of the dummy, and overall became much more confident and independent. All of this happened in a smooth and natural way.
We also loved her commitment to having the children spend time outdoors, e.g., in the nearby playgrounds or parks, and do fun activities such as visiting the zoo or the city farm, as well as toddler groups. Also at home, Ylva has really been keen on doing a lot of fun educational and developmental activities, such as puzzles, painting and colouring, etc. M is always very happy with Ylva and excited to talk about all the fun she had during the day when we pick her up.
Great and frequent pictures, along with a daily updated journal, have really made us feel part of the process and miss M a bit less.
Overall, my partner and I strongly and enthusiastically recommend Ylva to all parents out there and are truly thankful for her time with our little one.

Ylva looked after our little boy since he was 4 months old.
She has been a great professional childminder bringing in a lot of kindness and care to our little one. Ylva was key in his intellectual and physical development in a multi-cultural environment.
She was always keen to enjoy the nearby playgrounds, to go out to visit the zoo and to attend toddler groups for him to socialise.
Ylva has good communication skills through daily written updates and lovely pictures.
She has also been a valued partner in the first few months of our little boy. She helped him being happy and confident in the way he acts.
Overall we strongly recommend Ylva to look after your children. We wish we could have brought Ylva back to France with us.

Ylva helped us looking after our two young girls as their childminder. We felt completely secure with Ylva looking after them and as a first time mother, I shall admit, I came to her for advice in various situations. Ylva is gentle and kind with the children and she is incredibly patient. As an experienced childminder she has a method and system that she follows and that means the children (and parents!) know what to expect from the day and what is coming next. Ylva is very active with the children and introduces them to new situations that they learn from - and she uses the outdoor activities available, which is something we valued highly. Our children are in primary school now and they have developed into being kind, openminded and independent children. We certainly attribute Ylva's excellent care and help with their development in these important early years as an important factor in achieving these fantastic attributes. Thank you, Ylva.

I have known Ylva for many years and she has looked after both of my children.
Ylva looked after them every day before and after school over a 4 year span, and some holidays.
Ylva was amazing, she would support with homework, and make sure they were always fully engaged with some sort of activity. She would take them to museums, swimming etc. and I always felt she contributed to their education in a huge way. She would always update me daily on what she had done with them.
My children were always immaculately cared for and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ylva.

Ylva looked after our 3 year old, Daphne, from July 2018 to September 2019 when Daphne left to begin Danish nursery school. Daphne always has been very happy under Ylva’s care. She is generally with two other children and has begun to socialise well She has made the transition from nappies to continent behaviour in large part due to Ylva’s guidance. She has also begun to recognise words and letters at a level which is appropriate for her age.
We like the fact that Ylva makes sure that Daphne is always out and about in parks and playgrounds and that there are regular excursions to interesting events such as farms, zoos, cinema and so forth. We are very happy with Daphne’s development into a quite independent character, proud of being able to put on her own clothes etc. and with good understanding of boundaries.
Ylva sends daily whatsapp photographs of Daphne’s activities and we have never had any dramas! She is an excellent childminder and we are both very grateful for her help in Daphne’s development.
We are sad to be taking Daphne from Ylva’s care but we want Daphne to learn Danish (which Ylva has also helped with, being a fluent Swedish speaker) and the Danish school in London takes children from this age.
