My name is Cheri I am 38 Years old I am mother to two and married. I am a registered childminder offering childcare service’s for children aged between 09months - 11 years. I also offer before and after school care.
I am caring, friendly, fun, reliable, hard working. I like to get involved with the children as much as possible and help the children learn through play, whilst interacting with them and helping them learn and grow aswell as learning how to make positive relationships with peers and others.
My setting values are, kindness, honesty, courage and strength. I expect children to use these values within my setting, I display these values and use myself as a role model to the children.
I encourage children to be independent and think harder and smarter to challenge them.
I have a set routines that I do with the children and we also get out as much as we can, I link our outings to what we are currently learning, we have a different theme each week. We go to play groups, library, parks, soft plays, museums, art gallery's and much more.
We have one cat who is very friendly and a frenchie.
I have a spacious house which allows the children to take advantage many play opportunities.
I offer a very friendly safe environment for children to learn and grow in.
I have a messy room, play room and a down stairs toilet. I do lots of activities with the children and enjoy trips to different play centres and places of interest on a regular basics.
As a childminder I am here to Care and safeguard your children.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 9 years.
I enjoy getting involved and helping children to grow and develop in all areas of the EYFS.
I have previously worked for Garretts Green pre-school for 2 years, I have also worked at birches green primary school where I was an assistant manager at a before and after school club for over 50 children.
I have worked with children since 2008 and I enjoy everything about being a childcare provider .
I have also worked with adults and families whom have learning disabilities for 3 years and 9 months.
I have abundance of experience of working with children and families.
I currently enjoy walks, and reading.
My Qualifications
I am fully qualified with N.V.Q 3 Child Care Learning & Development, I hold a variety of other qualifications, such as CyPOP5 home based child care, First aid, food hygiene, autism awareness, safe guarding, enabling environments, positive partnership with parents, Adverse childhood effects, Counselling skills level 2 & 3, Triple P, FCAF, Positive behaviour, adult safeguarding and multi agency safeguarding and Mackaton.

My son has been going to Cheri for over a year now and really enjoys going. He loves that they go out to the park or soft play and play groups as he loves to be out and about. Cheri provides excellent care to my child and we will be sad when he has to leave to go to school!! Xx

It has and is a pleasure to care for your child and working with you. I look forward to see what each new day brings. I will also be sad to see your child leave but I know and believe he will be ready for school when the time comes. Once again thank you for giving me the opportunity to care for your child it's been rewarding.
Beautiful gem. I'm so lucky I found Cheri she's been amazing with my son and I'm truly thankful, Finding Childcare which is trust worthy and affordable can be the most stressful experience but I couldn't recommend Cheri anymore. My son been going for just over a Year and half and he has loved every second of it. Cheri will be missed

My son has been with Cheri since he was 1 he is now 2 and has developed brilliantly. Cheri is a fantastic childminder and I couldn't be happier with how well my son has progressed. He talks more, eats more foods and enjoys going to Cheri. My son has loved being with Cheri and is sad to be leaving to go to nursery. As a mother to leave your child is so scary but I couldn't feel more comfortable! My son is always happy and loves Cheri and myself as a mother have loved sending him to Cheri knowing that he is happy and settled. Thank you so much Cheri xx

We feel so lucky to have found Cheri. She really has been a blessing. She is a fantastic childminder and our daughter loves going to her and can’t wait to get there in the mornings. She does so much with the children it’s fantastic. Our daughter has definitely benefited from being with Cheri and all the fun and educational things that Cheri does. Cheri is so loving and caring, exactly what we were looking for in a carer for our daughter. Cheris home is always warm and inviting and she makes you feel part of her family. Cheris Home is always clean and tidy and is perfectly equipped, She also provides home cooked nutritious meals. Cheri has two lovely children of her own, whom our daughter loves to play with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cheri to anyone looking for a childminder. I was dreading the day I had to go back to work and leave my daughter in the care of someone else, Soon after meeting Cheri all those fears went and I couldn’t be happier.

Cheri is lovely, really welcoming caring and kind. She has a lovely home and the children love it there. Whenever I picked my daughter up she would have lots of smiling happy children. One in a million with wonderful children. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything cheri.
