Babysiting our twins

Reviewed

I didn't want to publish it at first however after thinking a lot about our experience I decided it's worth to do so.
We were looking for a babysitter for our twins for three weeks in August while our usual childminder was on holidays. Heather came across as very experienced and nice person living nearby - she seemed being perfect for a job. She started few weeks later and everything seemed very fine, we were very happy with her, kids enjoyed her being around as well - no concerns. We loved it.
However after 2 weeks with another week to go, on Sunday night at 9.30pm I received a text saying she has an emergency medical condition, she was unwell the whole weekend and was at A&E at that moment, so obviously she wasnt in a position to carry on with babysitting. We were left with two toddlers, no childcare and full-time jobs. It was upsetting however we couldn't have blamed a person for getting sick - there are things outside of our control. Thought me before coming across Heather's profile on Facebook few weeks later which it kindly suggested me to review as a potential connection. I clicked on the profile, just being curious really to know how she was, and found out that night before she sends us a text she is unable to come and was very unwell, in reality she was out with her friends on some sort of open air festiva. I was very upset, and angry, and confused as you don't expect adult people to make up stories about A&E and medical conditions to skip their jobs. Week of no childcare and full time job committments with two kids you need to take care of was quite a challenge but we made it - not first time not the last. I hope she had a good time.tho.
