I am 51 and the mother of two grown up sons. The large majority of my career has been spent in Nursing: I have experience of a wide range of areas from Accident and Emergency to Paediatrics and Operating Theatres. I have also worked as both a teaching assistant and Mentor in primary and special needs schools.
I believe that being a parent myself of two older children allows me to bring many years of experience and knowledge to the role of Nanny. I can understand the sensitive path that both parents and childcarers have to navigate to make the arrangement successful.In addition how to ensure the children receive high quality warm and nurturing care- most importantly are happy and thrive under a Nanny's supervision.
Both my sons were educated through the private and the grammar system, and I feel that having supported them to achieve their potential and ultimately University ensures I can understand the pressures and demands of schooling, in particular balancing academic and extra curricular activities.
I am happy to take on a proxy parent role, and am skilled at managing domestic tasks alongside childcare. I am also experienced at caring for family pets.
My schooling experience allows me to employ effective behaviour management strategies if required. Ultimately I am happy to follow and respect parent's individual wishes and work in partnership with them ensuring that their values are reflected in my care.

I am firm but fair, warm and approachable-and most importantly, fun ! I am also Ofsted registered, with an up to date DBS and Paediatric First Aid Certificate. I am passionate about the vital role Nannies play alongside families to develop strong and loving attachments with the children they care for. It is a privilege to be a part of a child's happy upbringing.
