About Me
My name is Kim, I am 18 years old and live in a little village called Coverack. I have lived in Cornwall all my life and love it especially the beaches. I have a great passion for music and was in a brass band for ten years. I also play the guitar and love to sing.
My Experience
My desire to work with children started when I had a week work experience in a day nursery in Helston. After that I got a job babysitting for a local holiday resort, where i gained great experience working with children aged 5-15. This summer I travelled out to America to work in a summer camp. Here I worked with children aged 6-17 and kept them entertained with games and activities such as kayaking, archery and swimming to name just a few. During my tine at camp I also had the opportunity to work with children with learning disabilities such as autism and adhd and work with two girls who had depression and anxiety and helped then have s Sumner that they would remember forever. It was such a rewarding job hense the reason I want to further my career in childcare.
My Qualifications
- 9 gcses all grades A*-C
- 3 AS levels in geography, sociology and health and social care
- I have completed my first year of my extended health and social care to the highest grade achievable and will be continuing when I get back in September.
My Availability
As I am a student i will be studying three days a week, however because i am still in America i will not know the days until i return on the 12th of September, but this means i am available for four whole days a week. I am available to do both weekend days and overnights if necessary but will need notice in advance. I can also do evenings starting after or around 5 as that is what time i can get back after college.
