We've been entrusting Maria's Childminding with the care of our son since he was 11 months old, and it's been fantastic witnessing his growth and development under her supervision. There's no greater testimony to the quality of care than seeing your child genuinely happy and thriving in an environment they love.
Unlike other childcare settings where faces may change frequently, our son sees the same friendly faces daily at Marias and receives individualized attention in a warm and loving environment. Maria and her partner Paula always go above and beyond for the children in their care, planning many activities and adventures for them daily, lots of fun crafting activities, delicious home-cooked food and special celebrations around holidays and birthdays!
We wholeheartedly recommend Maria's Childminding to any parent seeking care for their little ones.

Maria and her team are incredible. They are loving and caring. When I drop my child I know she will be well looked after, have fun and learn. They plan so many activities for the kids! Inside, outside, they go on little trips, they have weekly yoga and forest school. The food is also great and my child loves going there. I cannot recommend her enough. She keeps us up to date with everything the kids are up to! She is approachable, kind and all these kids are lucky to have her.

We were so lucky to find Maria! A caring environment that feels like an extension to home, my son has made friends and enjoys his time there, took him no time to settle in! Communication is great, there are always activities to keep him busy and all children look happy and well looked after, I would recommend Maria to anyone.

Maria has a very stimulating setting. She is caring, friendly and always take the children to excited trips around SE. We were super lucky to find Maria to take care of youngest daughter. We were looking for a childminder that speaks Portuguese, Maria was perfect! We had the best experience. During settling in, our daughter was calm and happy, Maria kept us informed through out the day and sent lots of videos e pictures with was very reassuring. My daughter did beautiful artwork at her place, which we proudly display it in our wall. We still visiting Maria sometimes. Thank you for everything you did and do for my daughter.

Maria and Paula are wonderful carers for our baby. He started at 12 months old and they were very kind and patient while he settled in. We get photos and videos on WhatsApp, and updates on his naps and food etc on the Baby’s Days app. They are very friendly and communicative at pick up and drop off too.
Our son absolutely loves going there, and is learning new things all the time (including some Portuguese!). They play music, read books, do drawing and painting, and even had a Halloween party with spooky food, decorations and costumes. They have lots of different toys that they rotate, and they go out and about to parks and play groups a lot as well. They have a playroom and a private garden, with separate rooms for meals and for naps. They make home cooked food and offer healthy snacks like fruit, veg and oat/rice cakes. We love that our son is around other children of a similar age, but still in a smaller scale, home environment. They are also flexible to adapt to the different children’s needs, and clearly very experienced. We would highly recommend them.

We feel very lucky to have found Maria and Paula! Our son started attending when he was 12 months old and as he was a lockdown baby we were anxious about how he would settle. Maria immediately put our mind at ease and made the transition as smooth as possible. Maria is confident, caring and playful with the children. Our son can’t wait to get through the door in the morning!
Maria and Paula create a family-type environment for the children and the setting is like a home from home. They do lots of age appropriate activities including getting out and about to parks and groups. Communication is excellent, we get daily photos of what they’ve been up to as well as information on the app about eating, sleeping etc. Maria always has time to check-in at drop off/pick up time too. We would definitely recommend Maria to anyone.

I can't recommend Maria more highly. She is a brilliant childminder and we are very pleased with the level of care she provides our son. Maria and Paula have created a warm, loving, nurturing environment for small children. She provides healthy food, lots of time outside and trips to local playgroups and parks. It feels as though our son is part of a loving family which is exactly the kind of setting we were looking for.
She is kind, funny and flexible. We love that she uses the baby's day's app so we can track what our little boy has got up to with her during the day. Very recommended.
