About Me
I’m 29 years old and live in the Gleadless Townend area with my husband and 2 year old daughter.
I’ve recently registered as a childminder and offer a sunny open space across two rooms and a garden, equipped with plenty of fun and stimulating toys and activities.
I am also offering drop off and pick up to and from Gleadless Primary School, and before and after school club for children 8 and under.
I'm really passionate about emotional well-being, and love being out in nature as I feel it is really beneficial for both adults and children. I love working with young children because of their fun-loving outlook on life and I love helping them to learn and develop into well-rounded people.
I plan on taking lots of trips with the children to local places. These include Graves Park Farm, Gleadless Library, the countryside at Ridgeway and many local parks.
We have tram and bus stops a few minutes walk away for trips further afield.
My Experience
I have 5 years experience of working with children in a range of settings and with a range of needs. I have worked with children from age 1 up to age 16. Most of my work and training has been in early years which I’m especially passionate about.
I have a degree in early years and primary teaching and have worked in a primary school as a HLTA, supporting teachers as well as planning and taking classes myself.
I’ve also worked in the Sheffield SEND department which has given me a good insight into the process of applying for EHCPs, which is something I’d be able to support parents with if needed.
My Qualifications
BA Hons Early Years and Primary Education (3-7) with QTS
Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
Level 3 Early Years Educator
My Availability
My working hours will be 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday from November 2024.
I have some spaces each day for under 5s and I am also offering drop off and pick up to and from Gleadless Primary School, and before and after school club for children 8 and under.
I am currently in the process of getting set up to offer government funding which should be complete by November.
I offer a safe sleeping and eating area and offer places for children 6 months and older.
