Childminder to our son

We sent our son to Joyce from when he was only 4 months old. We researched a lot of different options but Auntie Joyce was recommended to us by two families whom she’d supported in the past. From the very first time we met Joyce we were reassured by how gentle and calm she was with all the children in her care. Our son (who is now nearly 2) has flourished under her care and we’re so grateful to everything she has done for us. Joyce communicates with us, sending photos and videos of what he does each day and will encourage us to do what he does there at home. Being first parents it was great to have her expertise about child development and what we should be expecting at what stage. She sets up her home in such a child friendly way with so many beautiful resources that are linked to the children’s different stages of development.

Love and care for both my children

My daughter now 3.5 years old started going to Joyce when she was 9 months old and my son who is 1 has also started going full time from 830am to 6pm. Aunty Joyce is like a second mum to both my children and her love and care for the children really comes through. I highly recommend her!

We have seen our daughter bloom and blossom under her care. We really appreciate all her hard work and the thinking and structure behind all she does. Joyce has given the children good foundations for life.
From physical development to listening and speech and teaching respect and obedience. We see that the children are enjoying themselves and she gives us daily detailed reports of their day and give us "homework" to work on their development.

We can always rely on Joyce and my children have never been sick and despite complexities with covid, she always puts the children's needs and development first. She is the most reliable and trustworthy partner with us in raising our children and we are so thankful for her!

Best childminder we could have hoped for

Our son started with Joyce at 9 months. From the day he started Wren was happy and comfortable with Joyce, he very quickly became part of her family and was so at home with her. I was nervous of Wren going into full-time child care at such a young age but from day one he flourished. Joyce sends photos and communicates with us every day and everything is about team work.

We get a lot of comments on how advanced Wren's language, and behaviour is. He’s kind, confident and interested, we really credit this to Joyce making learning fun and part of their everyday activity. They do a lot of activities and partake in tidying the toys and putting their shoes away which Wren now does at home.

We would have wanted Wren to stay with Joyce until school but our jobs meant we had to move. I don’t think we will find another childminder we like as much. We want to thank Joyce from the bottom of our hearts for helping to give Wren such a wonderful and loving start.
