About Me
Hi there! I’m Inaya. I am currently doing my BA honours in Childcare. I have graduated from City of Glasgow College with an HNC early education and childcare, and I have many years of experience working with children as an older cousin, volunteering in primary schools, and working in nurseries. I enjoy working with young children and have a lot of experience dealing with newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers. I regard each child as an individual who I get to help develop and learn from.
My Experience
I am currently working in Happitots Nursery (with a 0 hour contract) where I collaborated with my team members in implementing and planning out a reasonable range of daily activities for children aged 0 to 5. Encouraging mutual respect and understanding of others while promoting positive behaviour throughout the nursery. Working directly with parents, offering information about their child’s development and learning as well as frequent updates on how their child is progressing.
I worked in Innocence Nursery as an early years practitioner where I provided a safe and nurturing and positive environment for children up to 0-5 years old. Whilst focusing on healthy, development, growth, and learning. I also worked at Calderwoodlodge Nursery as a nursery assistant where I worked closely within a team to operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children. I volunteered at St.Angelas Primary School where I raised my understanding of being able to cooperate with people from different age ranges. Due to taking a gap year for Uni, I am looking to babysit just because for work there isn’t much shifts available.
My Qualifications
City of Glasgow College – Early Education and Childcare NC/HNC
Key subjects studied: Child Development, Supporting children’s rights and entitlements, Supporting children with ASN, Care in contemporary society, Leadership starts with me.
I also attended a vocational course for early education and childcare level 4 and level 5. I have gained many skills with this.
