My Summary

My Experience

I have a wide range of experience in different settings due to the different childcare roles I have done over the years. From the age of 16 I volunteered at my local brownie guide unit working with girls aged 8-10, here I would lead fun activities, trips out and games for the girls to enjoy. I have babysat since the age of 16 looking after children from 5 months old up to 14 years old. During holidays I have worked at a children’s holiday club called Energy Kidz which allowed me to be creative coming up with fun ways to entertain the children who were from the ages of 5 up to 11. During my time at university, I nannied for a family who had an 8 and 10 year old, I thoroughly enjoyed working for them. I would take them to school, pick them up, take them on play dates, after school activities, find local fun things to do, take them on exciting days out and do housework for the family to. I found this role was perfect for me as I got to know the children so well I could find things I know they would love. I have always loved education, especially maths, so I had no trouble helping with homework and tutoring them.
I have worked in a private day nursery for 2 years they have just recently achieved outstanding from Ofsted, there I looked after and cared for children from 6 months old to 4 years old. I love working with children day in day out, getting to know their personalities and watching them develop and overcome huge milestones and helping them prepare for school. I love having great parent partnerships to gain an insight of their child and help cater different activities to their interests.
Here I obtained my level 3 in early years education.
My most recent childcare job was nannying for a 1 year old and a 4 year old. I have been with the family since the youngest was 4 months old. I love nannying as you get to know the children so well and spend time with them almost becoming part of the family. I really enjoy finding local activities for the children to partake in, cooking healthy meals, planning exciting activities, taking them for walks and picnics and getting to know what they like to do. I also really enjoy doing housework as I find it therapeutic, I like to keep things clean and tidy. I have always enjoyed learning so I would be more than willing to help with homework and tutoring. If your family has any animals, I am also very experienced in looking after them and I love animals. My previous family I nannied for had a parrot I would look after. I used to work in a kennels at the weekend. My aunty owns a cattery which I help out at when she is on holiday. So, I am confident to look after pets and enjoy the outdoors so no trouble taking dogs on walks ect.

My Qualifications

I have 11 GCSE's, 3 AS levels, 2 A levels, 1 Btec, level 3 in early years education and a geography Bsc degree.
