Tierney worked for us for roughly around six weeks, and during this time, our old nanny was helping in ensuring the transition went well. Our family always ensured that whoever took over from our nanny was well trained in my daughter's needs as she has additional requirements. The transition was completed, and it was her time to take solo charge after six weeks of handover (on/off). That date was Monday, 31st of January 2022. We expected her to come into our house to look after our daughter at 2 pm. We were excited since we felt we'd done enough transition time between the old nanny and Tierney. Unfortunately, we received some devastating news that she could no longer come in as she had some family matters. She had become the carer for her nan that she only found out 2 hours before working with us. As you can imagine, it was very devastating, as working parents rely on the help that we employ and understand that family first. We take pride in ensuring that any nanny that comes and works for us feels at home and part of our small family. We wish her the best in looking after her nan. But I do hope if she does decide to work for another family, in the near future that she ensure that she provides these families more than 2 hours notice to quit.
