No show followed by no communication
I began a conversation with Ceyda a few weeks ago. We had a great discussion over the phone and agreed the next step was to meet in person at our home.
Ten minutes after the agreed time of her arrival as she had not arrived I messaged Ceyda to ask if all was OK. She mentioned she had been ill en route and turned back home. I wished her a speedy recovery and said we could meet another time.
As any parent knows this situation can be quite distressing as we had prepared the children to meet Ceyda and worked our whole Sunday around the visit. Illness cannot be foreseen however, since that day Ceyda has not responded to any messages. Even when I asked for some friendly feedback as to whether something had happened that made her change her mind about us, it’s been radio silence.
