About Me
We live on a lovely farm 7 miles SW of Hereford with our 9yr old boy and 10yr old girl. We run several businesses and are looking for childcare preferably an aupair over the Summer holidays 2024. We have an amazing 5 star accommodation for you to enjoy living in with your own private space. This would be ideal for someone home from University for the holidays.
Our businesses are run from a converted barn at home and we have lots of other people working here too both on the farm, in our office and in our extended family so it’s a busy home and certainly not lonely or isolated. So we are around and will pop in to have lunch or say hi during the day and you won't be always on your own.
We would be really happy to meet you so that you can the lovely setting we have here and chat to the children as they are the ones that matter - to make sure you are excited to spend time with them and them with you and if so, we can see if we can work out suitable hours but approx 30-40 hours per week are available. The right person is more important than anything else.

We have lots of things at home for fun playtime with an indoor swimming pool, a long drive perfect for scooters and bikes, plus lots of outside games in a lovely huge garden, a lake with amazing wildlife, walks with our Jack Russells, 2 ponies (equine experience would be really useful but non essential - in fact there is space for you to bring your own horse if you have one), a little outdoor "playhouse" where we sometimes have a fire to melt marshmallows etc.
Some help with meal preparation and a few chores appreciated with possible once a week babysitting but the real priority is providing the children with stimulating fun and learning though play with a focus on outdoors. We would love someone to join us and help us to bring out the personalities of our two children. They don't play computer games and we limit screen time to occasional TV, so you need to be keen on a wide range of activities.
The children go to a wonderful school and had an Early Years Montessori start and love reading and getting new books from the library, making up drama plays, singing, dancing, playing piano, swimming, forest school type play and exploring, jigsaws, netball, cricket, Lego, all sports, baking, craft and most things.
Clearly as their Mum I am biased, but they are bright, chatty, happy, opinionated, cheeky, imaginative and really happy to try new things. We love the children to have fun but like the discipline of tidying up each day and getting them to help, they will have a few small jobs to do each day. We enjoy seeing their personalities shine through.
