About Me
My name is Megan, I am a 24 year old ABA therapist and GB rower. At the moment I am working at Grove Park Primary school as a 1:1 special needs TA. I am looking to do some tutoring around the area on week nights or weekends.
I finished bachelors degree at UCLA in America and for the past year I have been doing my masters in psychology (almost done it’s been extended a few months due to COVID). I have an international background and speak Afrikaans, English and intermediate Spanish, I’m also currently learning ASL. At the moment (in the USA) I am an ABA Therapist, I work with children that have ASD. I also have experience working with children as a nanny, babysitter, tutor and also in volunteer positions. I am pursuing psychology at the masters level, so needless to say, I have a passion for working closely with others, but I have also studied family dynamics, relationships and child development.
My Experience
I have nannied for families with a range of children including newborns, or families with up to four children. I have volunteered with children in community outreach programs and also at an equine therapy centre for children and adults with special needs.
My Qualifications
My highest level of education is a Bachelor's degree in psychology. I have finished my masters courses but am still working on my dissertation. I have experience in childcare and developmental therapy, and I am CPR certified.
