Somewhat unreliable communicator

We interviewed Elina twice - once by phone and once in person. She seemed nice enough but my husband and I had concerns about her reliability and communication style. We did not feel that she provided us with clear and consistent information regarding (1) her availability to start, and (2) her salary expectations (even though we worked with the hourly rate she had provided on her childcare.co.uk profile). Ultimately, we did not proceed with the proposed arrangement as we did not feel the constant "goal post shifting" boded well for the future of the relationship.

I am sure Elina would be okay as a Nanny but just make sure you pin her down as to her intentions before going too far in the recruitment process.

I was clear about my hourly rate, I said needed £12-13 depending on the hours per week. I said this based on the hours stated in their profile.
When they later offered me the position they offered me less hours than stated. This meant we had to discuss the hours and salary.

I was also always clear that I would be available to start mid January. They were quite pushy and wanted me to end my notice period early, this was not possible and made me quite uncomfortable.
I am very loyal to the families I work for. When I would not end my notice period early we decided not to move forward with the application.

I am a great nanny, very reliable and I have references that say so.
