We have been so happy knowing our son has been in the safe and loving hands of the caring staff at The Wonder Years. Whilst it's difficult to gauge much from a two year old, we can tell from his attitude going in and coming home that he has had a great time. He settled so quickly and absolutely loves his key worker Ellie in particular! She knows him very well.
I was so pleased to find a nursery that respects children as individuals as this was very important to me. The Wonder Years has a homely childminder feel as well as being a nursery which was comforting when leaving your child away from family for the first time!
I have been impressed at the eco focus and all the trips out to the allotment, park, farm etc. Also, the weekly activities provided such as a sports session with coach, forest school and Spanish session.
Thank you to Kate and all the staff for being so attentive, flexible and kind and for everything you've done for us!

The Wonder Years took on our son after his preschool closed completely unexpectedly. We had visited several other settings before seeing the Wonder Years and hadn't felt happy with any of them.
Tracey and Kate immediately put us at ease and made us feel welcome and we just knew that we could trust them to look after our son.
Ellie and Lydia work tirelessly to ensure that the children are provided with a range of stimulating activities, including outings and visits from special visitors. My son was beside himself when he got to meet some police dogs and sit in a police van! They've been incredibly patient and kind with my son who found the sudden transition quite challenging. I've seen him come on leaps and bounds with his phonics and communication in the very short time he's been there and he's also bought home some wonderful creative work. The staff work really hard to get to know each child as an individual and this has been reflected in the detailed and very accurate end of term report that we've received.
Thank you so much again for all your support during this time - we only wish that we had found the Wonder Years earlier on for our son. x

Both my daughters adore being at Wonder Years; there is so much fun, creativity and wide range of activities for them there. The staff are lovely, caring and attentive. The activities are varied and engaging from baking, crafts and reading, to visiting the allotment and celebrating different festivals (Easter, Chinese New Year, Christmas etc). Wonder Years really make an effort with the children. It comes as no surprise that my older daughter eagerly looks forward to going back to Wonder Years during the holidays, even after starting school. Thank you to Wonder Years!

I can't rate the Wonder Years enough - my son enjoys his time there, so much so he asks to go on his day off. Not only is there lots to do inside, there is a lovely space outside too for him to run around and even have a mini sports day. The staff are amazing, very approachable and caring and you can tell they love what they do. They really do go above and beyond what you would expect. I'm so pleased that I chose this setting and would absolutely recommend it.

Kate has looked after both our children from babies to preschool. They have always been so happy and safe with her. The TWY setting is a perfect combination of home and nursery. It's a very happy and caring setting. The children’s experiences are so varied, and also amazing and safe trips are often planned.
Kate is open, caring, professional and approachable. We couldn’t have asked for a better start for our 2. They have flourished and developed into such confident youngsters. We would highly recommend TWY in a heartbeat.

Kate and her team have looked after my daughter since she was a very young toddler. I was, of course, very nervous about returning to work after maternity leave and wanted to ensure my daughter (who'd only just turned 1) was spending her days in a nurturing, friendly and safe environment. I knew from the moment I met Kate that her set-up was exactly the right environment I wanted for my daughter and that she would be very happy there. What makes Kate stand out from the crowd is her willingness to provide a range of developmental activities and experiences for the children in her care. My daughter has also benefitted from positive interaction with a variety of children of a variety of pre-school ages. She was always excited about going to Kate's (or to 'The Hut'), which goes to show what a top notch set-up this is. Thank you, Kate.

Kate has looked after both my boys right from that heart-breaking yet exciting moment of returning to work through to their pre school year ( and even occasionally beyond during holidays for my eldest)
Having experienced a highly rated city based nursery prior I can’t express enough how superior the care they received was. Simply put, this is gold standard childcare. Whether during the early days when there are times when only a warm cosy home will do or later when a little bit of prep towards starting school goes a long way. So much good stuff to say but our highlights were: a cosy cuddle on a cold morning, trips to the allotment for pumpkin picking, mixed age groups with all the kids learning to appreciate needs other than their own, yummy home cooked food, a cheeky Elf on the shelf and kind understandIng of a scatty and stressed mother! (Me)

Kate and her team have looked after our boys since they were toddlers. Her enthusiasm and cheer is infectious and the team's hard working, compassionate attitude make for a safe, inclusive environment. Our children are energetic, inquisitive and mischievious but their natures are encouraged and nutured with Kate, and she continues to help them develop their skills in empathy and compromise. I don't think we could have hoped for a better childcare setting for them, and for that we will always be grateful.

We've had both our children looked after by Kate, our first child was when she was just a childminder working from her own home with a few children, and our second child has been with her during her expansion to operate out of the new premises (a new build hut). The new setting is working out really well, all the facilities are sparkling clean, she has a dedicated and friendly team around her, and she has carried over the same level of professionalism to this new venture. My daughter always looks happy to arrive and is rarely keen to leave, that has to be the sign that things are run well! I particularly appreciate the occasional visits she has by doctors, police and the fire brigade to talk about and explain their work (socially distanced, of course!). The kids seem to love it. Other than these events there is always something going on - painting, water play, a puppet show etc etc. On the very rare occasion I've had to question something that hasn't been 100% perfect, she has always taken on board what we've said and tried to improve, that's also the sign of a good service. Bravo!
