About Me
Hello - my name is Eleanor Witherow, I am 25 years old and live in Dartford. I love to travel and meet new people, work abroad and have new experiences. I work well both independently and in a team and enjoy being creative coming up with new activities and games. I am very friendly, motivated and believe I do well to adapting to new environments.
As my mum use to be a childminder, I have been brought up wanting to know more about the psychology surrounding children's upbringings. I studied Early Childhood Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University for three years, graduating in September 2019.
In 2022, I had a little girl of my own and understand the struggles that come with motherhood. I understand that it can be so daunting leaving your child in the care of someone you don’t know so I am always happy to keep your mind at ease with updates etc. However, this does mean I’m not able to work full time until have fulltime childcare for my own child starting in September.
My Experience
After graduating, I spent seven months working and living abroad in Sardinia for a company called Neilson Active Holidays. As of January this year, I also went abroad again working for the same company in Andorra.
During my time in Sardinia and Andorra I cared for children from 4 months - 16 years old, where we spend the day doing activities with them around the resort, having themed days, giving them lunch and the younger children dinner and many arts and crafts activities.
I have also worked in nurseries in Dartford and did work experience in reception and year one classes. While my mum worked as a childminder, I would help care for the children she looked after.
My Qualifications
Graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in Early Childhood Studies. I also have an A Level in Health and Social Care.
I have my First Aid Qualification and a DBS Check.
