Our little boy has been with Evie for the last 8 months, 3 days a week and we are so sad to leave her because our little one has started at pre-K Nursery School.
He has learned & developed so much in his time with her… his picky eating has dramatically improved with Evie’s home-cooked meal’s & encouragement & he now loves fruit for snack time!
We love how Evie takes the children out every morning for an activity- always something different & exciting & it always knackers them out in the best possible way so that they get a good nap & then sleep better at night. They’ve gone on amazing trips to farms, parks, soft play & I don’t think there’s a park in a 30 mile radius that Evie doesn’t know! She has taught our little boy how to ride a bike & get braver with climbing. They do crafting activities & baking.
I also loved how learning focussed Evie was in getting him ready for his next steps with nursery - learning independence, colours, numbers & learning about the World. Her setting is so educational & a big focus on sensory play, puzzles & problem solving.
Every day there is a different theme in the tuff trays & they learn & explore that. Her garden is a child’s dream play area in the summer! The boys had so much fun with water play & slides.
My little boy & her son Alex have become great friends as well as the other little boy she looked after & in fact it was a big factor in what school I chose so that the boys could still be together.
Evie & her husband & son have become great friends with our Family so even though we’ve moved on to nursery school, we still see each other & keep in touch.
My husband and I were v nervous about childminders & childcare that wasn’t us as we didn’t have v positive experiences when we were children but honestly, I can say, I trust Evie implicitly & am so grateful she came into our lives!
The daily updates & pictures give you so much reassurance & you can keep up to date with what your child is doing & it’s just lovely!

Evie is an incredible childminder and we feel so lucky to have found her. She looks after our 16 month old daughter and Evie was able to settle her immediately. She creates the most engaging environment and her playroom is every child’s dream with an endless rotation of exciting toys and themed tuff trays. Evie also takes them out every day to play parks, soft play and farms! Her breakfasts and lunches are all home cooked and extremely nutritious, but they are also given plenty of healthy snacks to keep them going.
We couldn’t have asked for someone better to take care of our daughter and I feel so reassured while at work knowing she is in Evie’s care. We are given regular updates and wonderful photos that help us to feel so part of the day. Not only does Evie keep us updated in the day, but sends a written summary at the end, covering naps, food, snacks and outings!
She is an absolute dream of a childminder and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! She has an incredible natural way with children and understands their needs immediately, tailoring everything she does to suit each individual child. It’s easy to see that the children love being with her! We couldn’t ask for more as a parent!

Jude started with Evie in September 2023 and settled instantly. She is more than we could ask for in a childminder and we feel incredibly lucky that we found her. Jude has come on leaps and bounds in his development in just two months of being under Evie’s care.
Her home is so welcoming and playroom is incredible with huge numbers of age appropriate toys and new themes on the tuff tray every day! Outside of her home, the children go on daily outings either to soft play, farms or parks etc. I don’t think there are many other childcare providers who provide such thoughtful and varied day to day activities.
Evie provides healthy home cooked meals and snacks which is fantastic. She has followed our routine with Jude so closely and we are incredibly grateful for this. She is very loving towards the children and it is obvious to see how much she cares.
Evie provides updates to us throughout the day by way of photos and commentary. She also gives a summary of the day once Jude has been picked up which is so helpful! The communication between Evie and us as parents is second to none.
I would highly recommend Evie to any parents who are looking for a childminder, I have no worries at all when I go to work and leave Jude and that is such a wonderful feeling!

We have been with Evie for over a year now and her house is a home from home for our two boys. Since the very beginning both boys have settled and have been very happy. Our eldest has formed an amazing bond with Evie’s son and the three boys together are constantly entertained, challenged, loved and cared for. Evie has a gift when interacting with children and coming up with fun activities from tuff trays to sports days, bike rides to feeding the ducks.
She takes a firm yet fun and fair approach and is so incredibly organised (which has been a life safer for us!) Even though we travel to her house to drop the boys she feels a part of the family; someone we can always rely on for advice, support and a friendly chat.
Evie ensures the boys are stimulated by constantly taking them outside on mini adventures be that to gymnastics, the park, the woods and farms.
The food Evie provides is awesome - our boys are hungry and Evie prepares nutritious, varied and sizeable lunches. They develop manners and follow routines with her, setting them up brilliantly for nursery life and beyond!
Evie offers learning experiences for the boys and engages with them; always getting down on their level. She is dedicated to seeing them progress socially, emotionally, physically and academically!
The boys sleep wel when with Evie and she does her best to mirror what we do at home.
If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, dedicated childminder that is Evie.

Our son used to go to Evie twice a week. We got to know her and her little boy quite well. Evie is not your typical childminder, she only looks after one or two little ones alongside her son which allows her to take them all outdoors for trips to playgrounds, parks, walks in forest. She has the most fabulous playroom I have ever seen, amazing range of toys allowing children to choose what they want to play with. There's also a child-friendly garden with a selection of the outdoor toys.
As it is only a small setting, each child gets a lot of 1:1 attention to ensure they keep learning new things and meeting all the milestones. Evie provides a lot of photos from every day, and a written summary at the end of the day. You know exactly how each day went. Evie has many years of experience looking after the children and it shows. There are set rules that children follow but at the same time she gives hugs and kisses if needed.
Evie is also a fantastic cook, she always prepares tasty and nutritious foods from the scratch for the little ones, and she provides healthy snacks throughout the day. Our little one loved going there, he was always so excited when he was dropped off. (This was not the case with another childminders). We as parents loved everything about the setting. I have seen a fair number of childminders in the local area when looking for the suitable childcare and nothing comes close. I wish our son could still go to Evie!
