About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and prior to that a primary school teacher of over 18 years. I live in the Loundsley Green area of Chesterfield. I have three children of my own, currently aged 5, 9 and 12, who enjoy playing with their childminding friends and meeting new people. We live, together with my husband, in a semi-detached home with a large, secure garden and plenty of space for play, exploration and fun! I will strive to make sure all children feel happy and secure during their time with me to allow them to thrive and develop to their full potential. I enjoy woodland walks, visiting National Trust properties, parks and picnics and will provide lots of opportunities for stories, singing and creative play for the children in my care.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 18 years and am an experienced parent to my own three children. I am a fully qualified primary school teacher working mainly with KS1 and Early years classes in the past. My teacher training specialised in the Early Years so I am well placed to deliver the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework in my caring, home based childminding setting.

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Early Years 3-7 specialism)
Qualified Teacher Status
Paediatric First Aid
Introductory Training course - Childminding UK.
Including: Understanding and working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Leading and Managing a Childminding Setting
My Availability
I provide a term time only childminding service with no retainer fees chargeable during school holidays. My opening hours are 7.30-5.30 although I may be able to be flexible.
