About Me
Hi I’m Airlie, I work around Sheffield mainly, but also Hinckley and nearby areas when I am home visiting family. I provide childcare services, during the weekday evenings, weekends, overnights etc. I do work full time in an SEN secondary school, so am not available during school times. I have experience nannying a little boy who has just turned 5 and has ASD and ADD. I also have 3 years experience in schools working with children with SEN from ages 3-19. Also happy to provide references both from working in schools and from the family of the little boy I currently nanny
My Experience
I have worked in schools for children with SEN for over 3 years. I worked in one for a year and a half, and worked with 2 different classes and a wide range of needs during my time there. I then moved up to Sheffield and started doing agency work, I have worked in lots of different schools around Sheffield. Mainly SEN, but ranging from nursery’s with 2 year olds all the way up to 19 year olds in schools. I now work in a secondary school for young people between the ages of 10-19, who have mental health and behaviour difficulties, which I really enjoy! I have also been nannying alongside this, for a little boy who has just turned 5. He has been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD, and I have really enjoyed nannying for him and developing a long term strong relationship with him. I also love with a family who I provide childcare for. They have a little girl (8) who I have a really strong relationship with and have been lucky enough to kind of become part of the family! I also have a lot of ad-hoc babysitting experience, from babies as young as 7 months old.
My Qualifications
I have completed a level 3 apprenticeship in supporting teaching and learning, however the college forgot to book us all in for our EPA’s so I now won’t get one until December. I can explain more about this if necessary!
My Availability
I am really flexible during non-school hours, but would prefer a bit of notice just so I can be certain I can fit it in! But I am also happy to do last minute where I can!

Airlie is an amazing babysitter. From the moment we first got in contact she's been consistently professional and reassuring. Looked after our 3 year old whilst we went out for a rare evening and was incredibly engaging with him. The next morning when he woke up he said he had lots of fun with her and would like her to babysit again, which is the measure of a great babysitter in my opinion. Will certainly be engaging again and could not recommend high enough!
