Issues with checks
I contacted Joe, regarding tutoring my daughter, firstly I was not able to access any documents he advised childcare have them which clearly they don’t. I asked him to bring copy he said he won’t be carrying DBS around. It’s was very absurb looked unreal for me . I decided I won’t use him although he directed me to first tutors which I don’t have access to.He didn’t just couldn’t provide with me at all , why won’t you want some to access your DBS unless there is something not right. For this reason we didn’t use him but wishing him all the best

Unfortunately this particular client came across as far too intrusive and so I had to act with caution. The client not only wanted a copy of my DBS certificate but also my Council Tax documents and other papers. I directed the client to an alternative website where all my details have been verified but this was not enough for them.
Given that the client had a 7 year old daughter who would be meeting me in a public library accompanied by their nanny made me feel that something just wasn't right with this particular client wanting to see so much paperwork.
I didn't see any reason for this person to require to have access to sensitive documents. Have they asked to see all the teaching staff DBS and other documents at their local school , I doubt it. Tutors and carers need to be careful with their documents.
