My Experience

Babysitting:
I have always had a love for children and their well-being. In addition to caring for my five nieces and nephews on a regular basis, I have also gained extensive experience babysitting numerous children in Kilmalcolm.

Work Experience in a Local Primary School:
During a one-week work experience role at a local primary school, I had the opportunity to contribute to the children's development and well-being. My responsibilities included supervising the children during break times, ensuring they played well together and remained safe in the playground. In the classroom, I organised creative activities and provided assistance to the children with their Math and English work.

Volunteering at a Children's Home in Indonesia:
Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of visiting Indonesia twice to volunteer at a children's residential home for orphans. These experiences, in both 2019 and 2022, were truly life-changing and opened my eyes to the challenges that some children face and their incredible resilience. It was during this time that I discovered my deep passion for working with children, regardless of their background or abilities.

My main responsibilities at the orphanage included caring for the younger children, assisting the older children with their homework, and organising age-appropriate activities and day trips. I also dedicated time each day to reading to the children, engaging in discussions about the stories to further develop their understanding of English, and playing various games with them.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to contribute to the local community by teaching English in the primary school. I conducted lessons from the front of the class for different grades and also worked with small groups of students to play educational games.

Experience:
With over five years of babysitting experience, starting from the age of 15, I am now a twenty-year-old seeking additional work to further expand my skills and passion for working with children. I also have a PVG, and currently studying Early Education and Childcare.

• Babysitting from £9.50 per hour
• Nannying from £11.50 per hour (gross)

Babysitting: £9.00 an hour
Nanny: £10.50 an hour
