About Me

I'm Covid-19 Vaccinated

We are a young family based in West London (Brackenbury Village - Hammersmith). Parents in mid 30's and baby of 1 years old.

Both self-employed. Looking for support to allow me to return to freelance / working a few afternoons a week.

My Requirements

Registered Childminder
Babysitter
Live Out Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Nanny Share
Mothers Help
Potty Trainer
Household Help

My childcare requirement:

Essential:

Role: Day time nanny
Frequency: 2 or 3 afternoons a week during weekdays of Monday – Friday (possibly increasing).
Hours: 1/2pm - 5/6pm though flexibility on finish time would also be good if I can’t get back until 6.30pm one day.

Responsibilities include:

Childcare:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Engage in age-appropriate activities, including sensory play, music, reading, and interactive games.
Take William to baby groups, baby activities (such as soft play), and playdates most afternoons and if hours increased then potentially some morning playgroups as well / instead. Some groups established but would also be looking for your assistance researching new groups.
Follow established routines for feeding, napping, and diaper changes.
- Monitor the child's developmental milestones and provide appropriate stimulation and support.
- Assist with introducing solid foods and transitioning to self-feeding.
- Always ensure the child’s safety, including childproofing the home and closely supervising during playtime.

Household Management:
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing.
- Organise and sanitise toys, books, and other items used by the child.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for a 1-year-old, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Manage household supplies specific to the child's needs, such as diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.
- Receive and sort incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.

Errands:
- Run errands related to the 1-year-old (and others on occasion), such as purchasing baby supplies, picking up prescriptions, collecting / posting parcels, and handling other necessary tasks.
- Perform various administrative duties, such as making appointments with paediatricians or managing the child's schedule (and others on occasion).
- Take dogs for a walk. We have two very friendly miniature dachshunds.

Current Routine:
- Current nap is around 10.30/11am - 1/1.30pm (2.5hrs)
- Nanny to arrive around when he is due to wake up.
- As he is getting older, the nap is pushing back slightly with the aim for it to be 12-2pm.
- As it pushes to around 11.30ish I will probably switch his lunch to before his nap as that will then carry on when he has his 12-2pm nap.
- When that happens, it may be that the nanny starts earlier to feed him lunch on occasions, perhaps put him down for a nap, then do some light housework and errands while sleeping.
Go to a play group / soft play / playdate etc
Be back for dinner around 5.15pm and bath before bed (6.30pm).

If you were just doing till 5pm then I would take over after that point and if 6pm then he usually goes in the bath around then so I would be back for that unless otherwise arranged.

Optional:

Evening Babysitting - William would already be in bed most likely (6.30pm bedtime currently) so you would just need to listen out for him / watch tv or whatever you prefer to do.
If we had an early evening planned and you had been looking after William for a while in the daytime, it may be I ask you to do William's bedtime routine as well.
If you're free to, would an afternoon going into evening also be okay for you? In terms of times we would be home, it wouldn't be very late and most likely 10/11ish, with very rare occasion to go past midnight as William gets us up so early!
