My Summary

My Experience

I have 5 years worth of experience looking after children in a nursery setting and also being a deputy room leader. I have completed multiple training including achieving my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and young people workforce. I also have an enhanced DBS working with children and adults. In my time as a children worker, I have grown to know and understand children so much more than when I first went into it. How they are not just small and very carefree beings who either cry when they are sad or laugh when they are happy; as a matter fact, I believe children to be the smartest little individuals I have ever met in regards to the way they learn and how much and how fast they have to learn at such a small and tender age. In the first few years of their life they are bombarded with so much.

It has become a part of my practice to nurture and mature this aspect of them; not by putting aside and simplifying their behaviours and responses but also utilising those aspects of their very unique personalities. That means getting and being at their level (physically, verbally and emotionally) and also challenging them in order for them to grow and develop at a pace that is catered to them.

But more than learning to understand children, I have a genuine love for them. I find them to be the funniest most fascinating characters. There’s honestly never a dull moment when it comes working and just in general interacting with children.
Don’t get me wrong, it can be challenging but children no matter how difficult are impressionable. They are teachable and so even those difficult behaviours that we can find frustrating and tiresome, I have learnt, are displays of a vulnerable child who is lacking the ability to properly communicate a need. And so it is about finding a way to properly heal that broken communication.

I write all of this in hopes to relay my earnest passion for early years children and to convey that you can trust them in my capable hands.

My Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and young people workforce. I also have an enhanced DBS working with children and adults.

My Availability

No Wednesdays and Sundays.

7pm onwards only (may be flexible)

Saturdays (can possibly do more hours)

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
