Concerning disciplinary methods
Overall, I would not recommend this nanny to anyone looking for childcare services. Her lack of professionalism, inability to engage with my child, negligence with household tasks, and concerning disciplinary methods make her unsuitable for the job. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience, and I will not be using her services again. I would advise others to steer clear and find a more competent and caring nanny for their children.
To give a few examples, she insinuated I smack my child if he throws food during meal times. My child is 20 months old and it would never ever cross my mind to ever lay a finger on him. I was repulsed as she proudly talked about the methods used in her home country. She also commented on me taking the ‘non-shouting’ approach with him. It is absurd to me as I wouldn’t raise my tone to anyone let alone my own child!
Furthermore she forgot about rice she had cooked and left it on the hob creating a fire hazard. She put a ton of clothes unsuitable for the dryer in the clothes dryer and directly lied to my face when I confirmed with her that she had checked labels. Left tissues in pockets so clothes came out with bits of fluff all over. I actually have no problem with any of these genuine mistakes but when I told her about my disappointment at finding all of these after she had left, instead of being professional and apologising she frankly came up with laughable excuses. She will also claim to be an excellent cook and when asked what she can make she said ‘everything’ during interview. On the day she didn’t know what a poached egg is, unable to make risotto or sea bass. She said she can cook Indian so I said make anything you want then. For someone claiming to be a good cook showcasing their star dish it was mediocre at best and sadly went uneaten. I asked her to make chapattis to accompany the curry and she said she can’t made them. I frankly don’t know which cuisine she can cook.

First of all, your family and all belongs to India and we were just having general conversations. You also mentioned your mom also have same mentality ect ect but definitely I would never encourage to do same. It was definitely misunderstanding.
About rice -And when I serve you rice it was perfectly cooked and not burn. I put pan on stove that was not using but after that other house maid was cooking so she could have put rice pan on hot stove.( which I was not aware of it ) as I was done cooking. .
About laundry you only told me specific company name those were out hanging rest was in dryer. ( as per your instructions)Also, Tissue may be in any pocket which of course I didn't check. (I was doing 3 heavy laundry in a day)
. ..about my cooking, it was difficult to find masala and all in the kitchen, i also asked their maid and she even seems lost and couldn't help me to get what i needed for cooking. I was very much lost in the kitchen and how can somone expect me so perfect in a half day in your house? ( all in one -nanny, house keeping, cooking ect..?)
so once again, I have done my best for the first day but I guess like wise I too get disappointed as I never had such experience else where.😔 Most parents are welcoming and friendly in terms of keeping nanny /house keeping. You booked me for temporary days Tue, Wed & Friday and canceled at the last minute, which is very unprofessional. I was booked for 3 days long hour shift so i have canceled my other shift. which is very unprofessional. But I refuse to speak much 🙏🏻thank you.
