About Me
Hi, I'm Libby, a former experienced primary school teacher. I have Qualified Teacher Status and 10 years experience of classroom-based teaching across all primary ages - from Early Years through to upper Key Stage 2. I also have a degree in music and offer guitar lessons.
I believe that building positive relationships and understanding the learning style of individual pupils is fundamental in helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
My lessons are very much pupil-led, using personal interests to help engage and motivate pupils to achieve their best.
During my time as a classroom teacher I have built a strong rapport with pupils along with their parents who I involve as much as possible in their child's education and development.
My Experience
Along with my mainstream primary experience, I also have experience of working with pupils with SEND, including EAL, dyslexia, ADHD and ASD and I draw upon my experience of a range of strategies to support children who may not learn in a conventional way. I help to build their confidence with my consistent approach and use of praise. Regardless of their ability or age, I always help the child to see the progress they have made.

I have QTS along with extensive experience gained within the school setting.
