30 years experience working with children in homes, schools and within the community. Married and mother to three older children. Worked as a nanny, parent support and nurture lead, children & families worker and ASD Family help as activity and liaison worker. Currently supporting a toddler group on a Thursday for ages 0-4 years. References in multiple settings, Ofsted paediatric first aid trained and current DBS enhanced in three separate settings + update system. Trained in diabetes type 1, ASD Early Birds+, ADHD, ACE’S, EBSA, Nurture, Counselling, Lego Therapy, Health & Social Care, Mental Health in Children. Experience working from newborns - teenagers. *Babysitting is requested for a minimum of three hours per visit. Please be aware the rates are £15p/h daytime £13p/h evening 7pm-12am and £16 p/h after 12am*
My Experience
Thirty years of childcare experience working with children 0-18 years. A SEN parent myself and trained with children with ASD, ADHD, diabetes, controlled epilepsy, and allergies. Family worker for multiple settings across the Wokingham Borough. Volunteered and worked in schools and within the community. Background in psychology and counselling. I have a fun, energetic personality and build nurturing bonds with the children and parents I work with. Early career working as a sole charge daily nanny for children from birth to 11 years. Designated safeguard lead (DSL) in a local primary school.
My Qualifications
A Levels psychology and English Lit, NVQ pre-health and social care working in schools & nurseries. Counselling, Nurture training, Lego therapy and theraplay, Early Birds +, designated safe guard lead, safeguard training in multiple settings and age ranges, paediatric Ofsted first aid trained. Ad hoc child care or daytime babysitting 15 p/h.
Evening babysitting 7 pm- 12am £13 p/h if child/ren are in bed.
Or £15 p/h if you wish the child/ren to stay up throughout the evening.

Lyndsey is an absolutely fabulous nanny to my two sons (5 and 9). She's patient and kind, super experienced and comes with a wealth of knowledge regarding caring for SEN kids. I feel very secure leaving them in her capable hands. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Lyndsey is just fabulous! She took the time beforehand to get to know our daughter over FaceTime. This really helped put her at ease when Lyndsey arrived to look after her. Lyndsey was patient and attentive and my daughter absolutely loves her! Will definitely be partnering with Lyndsey going forward!

We had booked Lyndsey to babysit in March but had an emergency childcare difficulty today. I messaged Lyndsey last night and she was wonderful. She came early to get to know my two children. They warmed to her immediately. I can't begin to tell you how relieved and grateful we are. Lyndsey provided references, DBS certificates, First Aid and ID. She was confident, professional, punctual and made sure we gave her all the necessary details of the childrens needs and routines. We are now feeling excited to have someone who can babysit and also help out as we don't have any family local to us.

Lyndsey recently started babysitting my 10 month old several times per week.
I was a bit apprehensive about using childcare this early on, but Lyndsey reassured me and made the whole experience really easy and comfortable for our family. Her communication skills are exceptional and it's obvious that she knows how to talk to babies - my son liked her immediately!
She always updates us about how the day is going and is very straightforward and quick when it comes to confirming days / times.
I'm so pleased to have found her and now wish I would have started childcare sooner! I cannot recommend Lyndsey enough.

Meeting Lyndsey has meant we have finally found someone from outside immediate family to babysit for my 2 boys. Her experience means she is very calm, reassuring and knowledgeable, especially regarding the additional support that autistic children need. She was happy to meet both boys before, to start to build connections with them - they were both very happy to play and are looking forward to seeing her again! I would highly recommend Lyndsey, especially if you are a SEND parent.

We meet Lyndsey before our arranged babysit and were reassured by her vast knowledge, experience and proof of qualifications and safeguarding/DBS checks. We have three children. B 10 months, B 3.5 years and G 7 who has autism. The children warned to her immediately and she confidently managed there various age ranges and needs. We haven’t had a babysitter before apart from family. Lyndsey has babysat three times now and we will continue to book her for any future events. It’s evidently clear my children love her warm and friendly disposition and we feel 100% at ease enjoying our date nights once again.
