About Me
TERM TIME ONLY - NO CHARGE IN SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Ofsted good in all area's. I am trained in British Sign Language, studied up to level 3. I have passed my advanced driving, after attending intensive, but excellent training with the Institute of Advanced Motorists. I have extensive childcare experience, as before becoming an Ofsted Childminder in August 2012, I was a foster carer for 7 years and, because of this, have gained a wealth of childcare experience and qualifications, NVQ 3 etc. I have 4 children age from 24 down to 10 years. I love all aspects of family life and I dread the time when my children will fly the nest. We enjoy normal, busy family life, i.e., picnics, football, rugby, days out etc. I am also an active member of a choir and love singing and also a BSL signing choir. I feel my personal qualities are I am a caring, punctual, flexible, approachable person with a good sense of humour. I feel I maintain a calm, methodical manner no matter what the situation is and have always found my children, my foster children and their friends have no difficulty in approaching me for help, support and guidance. I have also developed positive and professional relationships with parents, Social Workers, the foster children’s family members, health professionals, schools and other agencies whilst in my roles as Mum and Childminder and previously Foster Carer. With my minded children we thoroughly enjoy having fun and learning, going out daily to farms, parks, playgroups, national trust parks, ie. Speke Hall, picnics etc and eat healthy home cooked food.
My Experience
24 years as a Mum, 7 years as a foster carer and 9 years as an Ofsted registered Childminder. 2 years volunteering in my children's school helping in a classroom. I have been a full time, going out to work mum and placed my children in childcare, so fully appreciate and understand how hard it is to trust somebody else with your children.

Julie was the childminder for both of my sons, she is one of the most caring, fun and engaging childminder we could ever have wished for.
Julie had excellent communication with both the children and parents, we received regular updates which was so important to us when we first placed our children in her care and because of her lovely manner our boys settled in so well and we had nothing but positive experiences with Julie.
Both of my children loved Julie and her family and we remain in contact now.

As soon as I met Julie I knew I wanted her to mind my little boy. She is one of the most kindest people you could ever wish to meet. I was extremely apprehensive about leaving my son as he is my first but she comforted him so well and kept me updated throughout the day whilst he was settling in. She supported us both through a very anxious time and I I can’t thank her enough for this. Her family are amazing and my little one adores her and her children. She really goes above and beyond to make them feel part of the family.
My son loves anything musical so Julie was the perfect person to look after him, as she is very musical herself. He has often come home singing new songs or nursery rhymes that he has learned with her that day. She even uses sign language with the children, which we have continued at home. She takes the children to lovely playgroups which has allowed my little one to socialise with lots of other children each day.
Julie is amazing!

Our daughter has been with Julie for over a year now and we couldn’t ask for a better placement for her. Julie’s setting is nurturing, fun and above all safe. Our daughter looks forward to her days with Julie and gets excited merely entering her road! Julie’s whole family are welcoming and so good with the mindees which makes it feel like a home from home for the children. They enjoy days out and a strong relationship with other childminders and their mindees in the area.
I’m so glad we made the right choice by selecting Julie and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to
anyone.

Julie has cared for my daughter from 18 months to 4 years and now my son from 6 months. She is now considered as an additional member of our family who cares for children like they are her own. My husband and I feel greatly privileged to have had such exceptional full time care for our children. Both have blossomed under Julie’s careful and kind guidance. She provides a wonderful balance of stimulating, active attendance at local playgroup/toddler sessions with the warmth and familiarity of a home environment. The children regularly visit parks, farms, National Trust properties etc for picnics and seasonal enhancements. I cannot recommend Julie more highly, she is an absolute asset to the profession who is adored by all in her care.

I honestly cannot recommend Julie highly enough. My daughter has been with Julie since 8 months old and she loves going.
Julie does so much to facilitate a warm, friendly and educational environment and is also involved in the local community. My daughter has made such great progress with Julie in all learning and social aspects and has great interaction opportunities. All our family and friends comment on how my daughter is and both me and my husband credit Julie.
My daughter has been very unwell and Julie visited in the hospital, went on extra training courses to ensure when our daughter is in her care she is fully prepared which she didn't need to do. Julie goes above and beyond what you would expect from a child minder.
Julie is friendly, caring, honest and genuine. Both my husband and I felt comfortable leaving our daughter in her care from day one. We are now expecting another baby and have already put their name down for a spot with Julie as I couldn't think of anyone other than ourselves we trust more. We both appreciate the great relationship Julie has with our daughter and also us as her parents. If I could give 20 stars I would!

Such lovely comments, thank you so much. The biggest compliment a childminder can have, I think, is when parents have more children and tell you they're pregnant before their family to make sure you keep a space and stay with you. Thank you for your trust, lovely words and most of all, for trusting me with your lovely children.
What can I say... To start off with when I first contacted Julie and asked her if she could mind my son for 3 full days, she was more than happy to help me out. When we first went round to meet her I was a bit anxious as my son is my first child and leaving him was really hard. Julie was accommodating and friendly. My son was put at ease straight away and I felt comfortable in her lovely home which is more than I would have expected. There is a separate play room in her house which is full of toys. My son was drawn to it straight away.
He goes on lots of lovely outings and many different playgroups and he loves it. He has really progressed and developed since being with her and playing with her lovely children who also deserve a special mention.
To finish, we all adore Julie and the care that she provides for many children. I hope that she will continue to look after my son in the way that she does, for a long time to come. Where would we be without her!!
