My Experience

I've created an outdoor playgroup, which I’ve poured my heart into. It’s set in my own garden a safe, calm, and natural space and I run it together with my mum, who has years of experience raising children. Between us, we offer a gentle balance of professional early years knowledge and deep, lived experience. More than anything, we care about children feeling seen, understood, and loved.

Our playgroup welcomes children aged 1 to 5 years, with a carefully limited group size to ensure quality care and attention. We will only have 10 children at a time, with a maximum of 2 one-year-olds, and the remaining spaces available for children aged 2 to 5. This balance allows us to create a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for everyone.

Everything we do is guided by the children’s interests and personalities. We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework, but we don’t rush or pressure. Whether a child wants to paint, build, read, dig, climb, or simply watch the clouds, they are free to choose how they spend their day. Through this kind of play, children naturally develop confidence, communication skills, physical ability, and emotional strength.

One of the most special parts of our setting is the mixed age group. It’s wonderful to watch children learn from one another; older children becoming caring role models, and younger ones growing in confidence as they explore alongside others.

Iayh’s Outdoor Playgroup isn’t just a setting—it’s a little community, built with care and intention. I want every child who joins us to feel safe, valued, and free to be exactly who they are.

We’re opening this September, and I’d love to connect with families who share this vision.

Degree in Early Childhood Studies -Middlesex University -Graduated 2018

My Fees

• Childminding from £12.50 per hour

Our sessions run from 8:00 am to 16:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

We offer one fixed session time to provide a consistent and settled routine for the children. This also helps us create a calm and connected group environment, where every child feels part of the day from start to finish.
