Laura started babysitting for our two boys, now aged 13 and 11, about 5 years ago. Since then she has undertaken a weekly Wednesday evening and regular weekend babysitting with us. This has often involved collecting the boys from their various activities and driving them home, making their tea, overseeing homework and music practices and putting them to bed on time.
We have always found Laura to be punctual, extremely hardworking and totally reliable and trustworthy. She is the model of organisation and is able to be flexible and accommodating when plans change at a moment’s notice.
Laura’s immense wealth of nannying experience is clearly evident. She was quickly able to build up a warm, trusting and fun loving relationship with the boys and as a result, they look forward to her visits and love spending time with her. Laura takes an ongoing interest in everything the boys do and supports them with their homework and piano practices.
Laura is very happy to join in with and be led by the boys’ choice of activity, but she also comes equipped with an abundance of fun, exciting and age appropriate ideas for games, crafts and activities which the boys usually prefer! As a teacher, I am well aware of how invaluable this is.
Laura is able to deal with any sibling disputes and unacceptable behaviours in a firm but fair way and as such, has deservedly earned the boys’ total respect.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Laura for any nanny, childcare or babysitting positions.
