About Me
Hi my name is Cheryl Anderson
I have lived in Church Langley for 24 years with my husband and my two daughters (11 and 19) and our two very pampered and tame indoor guinea pigs. I have been minding since 2003 and am a member of Church Langley Registered Childminders. Before becoming a Childminder I spent 14 years as a Dental Nurse in a private practice in Epping.
My Experience
My setting offers children a warm,caring safe place to play and learn where they can feel valued, included and loved as part of our family. We have a wide range of toys and activities for all weathers and make the most of the fantastic parks and woodlands we have on our doorstep. We have a lovely clean large front room and a conservatory full of fun and engaging toys, and a lovely enclosed garden that is very child friendly, providing children with a safe space to play, learn and explore.
My last three ofsted inspections were graded as Good with areas of outstanding practice. On my last inspection I received an outstanding. Please feel free to email me if I can help you in any way.
My Qualifications
I have passed my NVQ level 3 in children and young peoples work force, and have an up to date first aid, food hygine and safeguarding certificates.

Our little boy started with Cheryl after we moved him from a local nursery. It was the best decision we made for him. He has thrived in Cheryl’s care. Cheryl provides varied activities inside and outdoors as well as regularly attending groups. Cheryl updates us on his learning as well as his social skills and regularly sends home his learning journal. Cheryl is an exceptional childminder and we are looking forward to our second child starting in her care. We feel like we have struck gold in finding someone who takes such good care of our children.

Cheryl has looked after our children for nearly 6 years now since our eldest started primary school. We would highly recommend her. She has done before and after school care including walking to/from school, as well as several days in the school holidays. Her family are all very friendly also and it is a very caring environment and we feel they are well looked after by her.

Cheryl has been our childminder for the last couple of years for of youngest daughter and we are happy to recommend her to anyone as we are very pleased with all care provided. She ensures a beautiful, clean and safe environment in her home providing a range of educated toys as well as fun things for the children to do as well. 🎨 Cheryl has ensured that Keira meets her milestones and helps her develop her skills too. Cheryl ensures that she provides a range of indoor and outdoor activities every week -ranging from playgroups/ soft play to our door puddle splashing 💦, leaf and mini-beast finding! 🕷🐜🐝🦋🐛 Keira always enjoys her days at Cheryl’s.
For us as parents it’s reassuring to meet Cheryl’s wondering daughters and husband too who are just a lovely and calm as Cheryl too ( Plus they are mad about Disney as we are and that helps a lot 🤣🤣). We love that Cheryl manages behaviour in a calm approach helping to teach Keira right from wrong using ‘time out’ if needed and we are happy as parents for Keira to learn this as well. Cheryl provides Keira with a range of lunch and snacks if needed and we are happy with all food given.
Honestly we wouldn’t have Keira anywhere else now!

Cheryl has looked after my little one from 14m until school age. She has guided her growth and development from a little baby all the way through to school! Cheryl has a genuine love for the children in her care and does her utmost for them. It has been like having some extended family nearby. I couldn’t recommend Cheryl more highly.
