Wendy has looked after our daughter Phoebe, who is now three, since she was 8 months old. We found Wendy via this website and arranged a visit, not knowing her or having a personal recommendation, combined with the prospect of leaving our first child with essentially a stranger, we were very anxious and went armed with a notebook full of questions. Wendy took the interrogation in her stride and in fact within minutes of entering her house our minds were put at ease, both myself and my husband and more importantly Phoebe (who was at this point only 6 months old) immediately warmed to her.
Wendy is the kind of person you can't not like, she is kind, generous, funny, , trustworthy, caring and so loving towards the children she cares for. Both my husband and I work full time shifts and the thought of balancing childcare was sending us into a tiz. We need not of worried so much, Wendy's flexible nature meant that my transition back to stressful shift work was a smooth one, Wendy even has Phoebe on weekends on the occasions that both my husband and I are working and she treats Phoebe just as if she was having her grandchild for the day. On the days that Phoebe is with Wendy she jumps out of bed in excitement shouting " Is it Wendy's today"? Phoebe absolutely loves Wendy and I know that the feeling is mutual! Wendy is an absolute legend, the woman doesn't stop, when you arrive in the morning the smell of freshly cooked food is wafting through the house (that woman could get any child to eat their greens) and there an activity set up on the table.

As well as an array of crafts that even Tony Hart would be proud of, they do baking, learning numbers, alphabet etc. She attends weekly playgroups and the gymanies class at the leisure centre, takes them to the park, beach, zoo....the list is endless. And all this is done with the biggest of smiles on her face and with a zest that even makes Mary Poppins look lame! if you are looking for a childminder and not sure who to pick, then look no further, don't even hesitate. In fact if you even found somebody half as good as Wendy you would be lucky, but why settle for less when you can have the best!
