Highly recommended!
Jo looked after our son for a significant period in his young life and we had such a good experience I wanted to review and share our thoughts, as I genuinely cannot recommend her highly enough.
Finding someone to look after your child is daunting and stressful and Jo immediately put us at ease and reassured us that our son would be nurtured, cared for and also have lots of fun! This certainly was the case and we're sad to move on - we now also require care for our daughter and Jo simply doesn't have capacity and so we chose to place both children in a nursery.
There are many small things that Jo does that make all the difference. The simple system of having an daily progress and activity book and recording meals, nappy changes etc worked really well for us and was much appreciated - a great example of Jo's professional approach and attention to detail. Our sons development was monitored and encouraged through EYFS and during the time he spent with Jo he went from a few tentative steps to running and some babbling words to speaking in short sentences. Of course this progression is natural - but Jo encouraged his development where she could and we were confident and happy with the part she played in this early growth.
Our son loved playing at Jo's house in the plentiful play room and garden and also went on lots of trips to local parks, museums and play centres. Jo encourages creativity and messy play and we now have so many precious drawings and paintings we can keep and cherish. We also have a lovely collection of pictures which we look back on with fondness and gratitude - our son was so lucky to have spent time with Jo and her lovely family. He became very fond of Jo's children who are all polite, welcoming and caring and a credit to their parents.
We hope to stay in touch with Jo and her family and wish them all the best for the future. We are eternally grateful for Jo's care and support and again, we cannot recommend her highly enough. Thanks so much Jo.
