My Summary

My Experience

I originally qualified as a nursery nurse and nanny over twelve years ago. I then went on to specialise in newborns and children with special needs. I worked as Deputy manager of a small private day nursery for two years and I have had vast experience of sole charge nannying. I have also qualified as a maternity nurse practitioner. One of my particular skills is helping first time parents in setting up a baby's routine or dealing with parenting issues such as unmanageable behaviour.

In recent years I have gone on to do a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Applied Psychology. I have worked for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service where I worked closely with families with children who have learning difficulties such as Down's Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, ODD, PDA, Fragile X and so on. I have also trained in Disability Awareness to a high level and I have a great deal of experience of working with children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and other neurological conditions.

My Availability

I am very flexible with availability and I am available to work throughout Cheshire, Manchester and Liverpool as well as travelling nationally and internationally (so long as my expenses are covered). I also have a base in London.
