Wajiha has been our Childminder since October 2022, caring for my son
since he was a year old until 3+3/4, for 4 or 5 days a week.Wajiha has
raised him to be a happy, curious, thoughtful child who loves to play in
her lovely garden with the other children, play with toys at local
playgroups, sing songs and read books. His speech has become clear and he chats and counts confidently thanks to Wajiha's teaching. She encourages development in all aspects and has taught him to eat, drink and dress independently, and encourages him to be clean and tidy. My son prefers Wajiha's meals to my cooking and she gets him to enjoy healthy meals like okra and daal. We enjoy the photos and videos she sends via WhatsApp during the day as well as the daily written update, so we don't miss him as much.
Wajiha is always responsible, reliable, and somehow never takes time off despite all the children's germs. She is worthy of the trust in handing over my child, which was a scary thing to do at first. We chose Wajiha at first because we felt confident that she was mature and responsible enough to administer our son's heart medication and she was concerned to take the time to learn about his condition and how to care for him, though he has fortunately been well since.
She is exemplary in organisation and the admin involved with being a childminder and liaises with the council to use the free childcare hours. We are so incredibly grateful for Wajiha and her loving, kind, and consistent care. It has been comforting to know that our son has had all the attention and cuddles he needed whilst growing up from a baby through his toddler years. He is due to start pre-school in September and Wajiha will be much missed.

Wajiha is a kind, caring, and patient childminder who always puts the children’s safety and happiness first. She’s really good at setting clear rules while still being gentle and loving, so the kids feel safe, listened to, and know what’s expected.
Our little boy, always looks forward to going to Wajiha’s house. He has made strong friendships with the other children there, and it’s lovely to see how well they all get along. One of the things we really like is that Wajiha doesn’t look after too many children at once. This means each child gets the attention and care they need.
She plans lots of fun and activities, like water play, building train tracks, role play (like cooking or shopping), ball pit fun, story time, and even going to playgroups. The activities change with the seasons and are right for their age, which keeps the kids happy and learning.
It also gives us great peace of mind to know that Wajiha is first-aid trained, DBS-checked and has a full clean driving licence. Knowing she’s trained to help in an emergency and has been carefully checked makes us feel even more confident leaving our boy in her care.
We feel so lucky to have found Wajiha. She’s someone who truly cares about the children and helps them grow, learn, and feel loved.
