I would describe myself as a self-motivated person who is enthusiastic, outgoing, honest and reliable. I excel in my organizational skills and am a very punctual person. Along with this I believe I have great communication skills and I consider myself to be very well mannered. I enjoy taking pride in what I do and who I am working for. I believe these characteristics assist in my people skills and also my ability to work with the people around me. I am kind, caring and an affectionate person and this is why I believe childcare was something I could pursue and be passionate about. I have spent a lot of time in the retail sector and while I enjoy my job I feel as if child care was where I felt most challenged and driven.

Hope and Dreams Private Nursery (Teaching Assistant): January 2009 – July 2011
Here my duties included taking the children out on daily activities, going to the park, and setting up activities in the nursery at playtimes. More day to day activities included assisting the kids at reading time and also having one to one reading with each child throughout the day, making up their milk and water bottles as required and also supervising dinner times assuring each child had their dinner was seated well and had enough of their meal. In this position I looked to further myself within the field and found my passion for working with kids. I enjoyed the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference in there lives and while challenging at times, the satisfaction gained from seeing them grow up was really something that pushed me.

Little Angels Nursery (Teaching Assistant) June 2012– July 2014

When I worked here I assisted in setting the class rooms up, getting children ready for afternoon naps, helped around the playground and also supervised dinner times. This is where I gained first hand experience in child care and was drawn to a career within the field.


I also have my own family run business term time. (Kids Summer camp). 2020-2024
