Our son was with Maninder full time from the age of 11 months until just before 2 and we cannot recommend her enough! Maninder is a real life angel, she is calm and patient with the children as well as engaging, fun and caring. Raff developed hugely under her care and he absolutely adored her. As well as preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children she organises educational and fun activities, with plenty of opportunity for sensory and exploration. If we could have kept Raff with her until he was 18, we would have! Her own children are testament to her skills, they would be without doubt the most polite and friendly kids I have ever met. As first time parents we are eternally grateful for the love and care Maninder showed our son and all the guidance and advice she showed us!
I cannot recommend Mani highly enough. She has created a little oasis for children in her home and really spends time getting to know those in her care. Her attention to detail is second to none- taking time to cook lovely meals for the children and ensuring they have a range of activities to peak their curiosity. Mani is incredibly warm, nurturing, flexible and attentive and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone!
Maninder looked after our now 3 year old for 2 years. We would have kept her here until school but the older toddlers were moving on to pre-school so we did the same.
Marvellous minds is a calming, inquisitive curriculum led nursery. Maninder is passionate about early childhood education and it shows in the teaching of the kids. Mara went from being a 14 month old covid baby to a confident, chatty, curious toddler and we credit Maninder with so much of that. She also sleeper trained Mara who three weeks in to starting with Maninder was falling asleep on her own at nighttime.
The nursery is the CLEANEST place I’ve ever seen. There is so much space inside and out to play and Maninder regularly took Mara out on trips to the park & the library. Maninder made all the kids feel like they were at a home from home and the communication (unlike most nurserys!!) is easy and clear. If you want a place for your child to get one on one guidance in their early years this is the perfect place.
I cannot recommend Maninder highly enough. She cared for my daughter from about 7 months until she was 2 years old. The experience has been nothing but positive- Maninder is incredibly kind and caring to both the children and also the parents- it really did feel like another parent- there was that level of love and support for my daughter. The setting is fantastic- better than any nursery I have visited - toys, food, cleanliness- all exceptional. My daughter has learned so much from her time there and has developed a lot quicker than I would have expected- I am sure that it due to the quality of care she received. The only reason we left Maninder is because we wanted my daughter to be in the same place as my son who is now in school. Otherwise I would not have hesitated to have left her for another 2 years until school. So definitely a 5 star review from me- thank you Maninder for all you have done for us.
Maninder looked after our daughter for 2 and a half years with the upmost care and attention. Ivy had the most fantastic time whilst in Maninder’s care and was taken in by her warm and welcoming setting as part of the family. On top of this we felt like Ivy gained a huge amount in terms of her confidence and development. We cherished her time at Maninder’s and couldn’t recommend her enough. Thank you!
We were extremely lucky to have found Maninder who cared for our daughter from 14 months to when she turned 4 last year. Maninder maintains the perfect balance at Marvellous Minds of a personal touch tailored to each child’s individual personality and needs with structured play and an educational programme focused on the age-appropriate developmental goals and milestones. Maninder is very reliable and attentive to the needs of both the child (and parents!). Both my husband and I work long irregular hours and it gave us huge peace of mind to know our daughter was in good hands.
I have always felt the attention and care our daughter received at Marvellous Minds went above and beyond professional care. We were always really impressed in the effort that Maninder goes to, to provide the children with new and stimulating experiences. She has renovated her house into a rich environment for the children, both indoors and outdoors.
In addition, Maninder took the children to local parks and children centres regularly. They have had trips to the circus, the Horniman museum and aquarium, and farms. We really appreciated the effort that went into planning the trips and ensuring that they were undertaken safely.
As a consequence, our daughter transitioned into school very easily. She has become a confident little girl, outgoing, gets on well with the other children, plays confidently in shared spaces with others, shares her toys, and has good manners. This really is a credit to Maninder!
Our 11 month old Son started with Maninder at Marvellous Minds Childcare back in July and I simply cannot reccommend them highly enough. The transition was as smooth as silk and the care, love, safegaurding, play, and creativity Maninder demonstrates is exceptional. The setting is brilliant - much like a small scale nursery, and it's very very rare that Maninder and her team don't take the children out into the community for different experiences throughout the week. Home cooked food, a quiet place to sleep, a garden and on top of all this - a truly brilliant approach with parents - a professional pleasure to deal with - on top of the admin and is really able to put herself in the shoes of parents on a commute. Highly recommend Marvellous Minds Childcare, East Dulwich Grove. Brilliant!
Our 9 month old son is looked after by Maninder full time and he loves it! Maninder is caring and kind and we are very happy that he is in her care. Maninder has 2 lovely children of her own and they have taken in our son as part of their family. The space at Marvellous Minds (in Maninder’s home) is great, the children have more room than in half of the nurseries I visited. There are plenty of toys, activities, arts/crafts, books etc. as well as ample space to run/crawl around. Maninder follows the Early Years Foundation but we feel she goes beyond this. Our son gets to do very creative activities which are often bases around current events/festivals in the calendar, for example, the recent World Book Day and the Holi Festival. He gets taken out and about to children’s centres so gets lots of fresh air as well as a change of scene and socialising with children outside of Marvellous Minds. Our son has all of his meals and snacks at Maninder’s, he gets plenty of fresh fruit and veg and a wide variety of different home cooked meals (we wish he’d bring home a doggy bag as they sound lovely!). Prior to setting up Marvellous Minds, Maninder has had her own experience of putting her children into childcare. She has used those experiences to put a lot of thought into creating an environment that leaves the parents feeling relaxed and comfortable putting their children into her care and gives the children themselves a very creative, interesting and active experience whilst in a caring home from home environment. We can thoroughly recommend Maninder.
On doing the childminder rounds for my 1year old son I visited Maninder at Marvellous Minds. Maninder is very smart with bags of emotional intelligence too. She immediately connected with my son and sparked his imagination with the wealth of interesting toys and stimulus around the room. What I loved was the way she always had an eye on him during our conversation and alway made sure he was occupied and engaged before continuing with our chat.
The space has transformed from her living room (which is huge!) and is wallpapered with all the relevant learning materials for the Early Years Development. There are a wealth of different toys, books and environments. Plus she has a basement with low lighting for nap times. There is also a focus on creativity and art which I liked and not all childminders go in for. Maninder is very easy going and strikes me as a wonderful carer for small children. My only reservation was the distance I would have had to walk from my house to hers, sadly it was a little out of reach for us, but some other lucky family will benefit from her care.
