I think we looked at almost every option of childcare in the local area, and with Peaches & Pears it just clicked straightaway. Our son has now been attending for the last 2.5 years and he loves it. He’s made good friends and it’s become a home-from-home for him. You can tell its family run, so much care goes into every aspect of the setting which makes it comfortable and welcoming which is so important for little ones’ development. We’ve had lovely moments where he surprises us with things he’s learnt, be it counting on his own or making an omelette without any shell in! Peaches & Pears have been very supportive of every developmental stage; whether the emotional phases, or practical parts like potty training, they’re always on side and happy to help. They are also very flexible which is hugely important to us, especially during lockdowns where we felt it important that our child had as much normality as possible. We feel very fortunate that they’ve been such an important part of our son’s growing up and recommend them very highly.

My son has been at P&P since he was 14 months old. The settling in process was tailored to him and sensitive to his needs as well as the parents. I've always felt happy dropping him off, knowing he was safe and well cared for. The family care deeply for all the children and foster strong caring values and manners in the children. The menu is varied and I am relived knowing he is eating healthily while he is there and I don't feel so guilty when he has less good food at home!
I'm really glad we chose P&P for our son and would recommend it to anyone.

My partner and I are so grateful to have found Peaches and Pears. Our son has been there for 2 years so far. He loves it there. He settled in very quickly and has formed close bonds with all P&P carers as well as the other children. He is excited to go in the mornings and comes home happy and tired (in a good way!) from a great day.
Peaches and Pears is a well-run family business. They follow a ‘Curiosity Approach,’ providing open-ended objects and toys and letting children's’ imaginations decide how to interact with them. They supplement this with stimulating and varied activities for the children, keeping things fresh and mixing indoor and outdoor play, as well as trips outside the grounds to local playgrounds, walks, stay and plays etc.
The team are warm and caring, and their enthusiasm for their work shines through everyday. They have created a homely and social environment for the children, and each carer gets to know every child as an individual, adjusting their approach to each little person’s needs. They are helpful and supportive to us as parents. They are parent-led, while offering great advice, inspiration and ideas when needed – always respectfully and never out of turn.
As a business, they handled the COVID-19 situation very well, adjusting routines as necessary. They took advantage of lockdown to revamp the covered back yard and garden, creating an amazing play space. Our son particularly loves the mud kitchen!
All in all, we highly recommend Peaches and Pears to local families looking for a safe, caring and stimulating environment for their children to thrive in.

Our daughter attended Peaches and Pears for just over a year and I cannot fault the care she received. The environment is like a home from home, and she loved attending. She settled in quickly, she spoke about her friends, she learnt things, she was happy. All of the team are kind and caring, and we are extremely grateful for the love they showed to our whole family.

Our daughter has been attending P&P since she was 10months old. She has loved the 2 year experience bonding quickly with the whole family, to the point that we were unsure who her key worker was initially as she was reciting all their names at home!
The environment was perfect for her transitioning into care from being at home with just myself on maternity leave. The family run a thoughtful and interesting schedule of activities for the children, often taking them for external activities both locally and afar.
The communication is particularly good with an online diary sent to parents and also a log book when the children are younger. This was perfect for us so we could see and keep up with all her development.
She really has had the best time and we have loved seeing her grown during her time at P&P.

Our son has been going to P&P for nearly 2 years and he loves it. He gets on brilliantly with all the staff, not just his key worker and he looks forward to his days there. This is a warm and loving environment where children are genuinely cared for, there have been numerous occasions where staff have gone above and beyond what is the standard level of care.
The staff are all highly skilled and professional and we have seen our boy develop an excellent grasp of numeracy and literacy from a young age. He enjoys all the daily activities which are wide and varied- creative play, baking, visiting local children’s centres, parks and libraries etc. It is a social environment and he has made lots of friends. I am also impressed by how sympathetic and flexible they are to each child’s needs.
We also appreciate that they make healthy home cooked meals and snacks!
Our family would highly recommend P&P to anyone

Our daughter has been attending Peaches and Pears for over 18 months and absolutely loves it. They do loads of really fun activities; baking, mud kitchen, painting, reading, singing and go out on lots of little trips; playgrounds, woodland walks, stay and plays, library, blackberry picking! Our daughter always comes home having learnt all sorts of new things, with lots of exciting stories about what she and all her friends have been doing. They are really helpful with tips on how to handle new phases e.g. potty training, changes in naps etc... I'm so glad we found them!

Peaches and Pears looked after our son from the age of 1 until the age of 2. Unfortunately he had to leave as our circumstances changed. All the family were very caring and sensible. We still use Zahra as a babysitter sometimes. They took the children out a lot which I liked and were practical and supportive. I would highly recommend them. They also recently had the facilities upgraded so it is better than the description above and they have an outside yard with toys. They were also very flexible with extra days when they had the capacity which was very helpful for us.

My daughter joined Peaches and Pears when she was 14 months (she is now almost 3) and she absolutely loves it.
It is a family run childminders, and this is reflected in the environment which is warm, welcoming and nurturing. They do lots of stimulating and fun activities with the children both at the house and in the local area including arts and crafts, marking making, park visits and baking.
One of the things I find the most valuable is that each child has a diary where they document what your child has done that day, what they have eaten and if they have slept. They also provide a school pick up service which my son (aged 5) attends a couple of days a week. Being able to have my children in the same childcare setting is not only very helpful in a practical sense, but also means they share more time together.
I would absolutely recommend Peaches and Pears to others.

We're so glad we found Peaches and Pears for our son who has been going for nearly eighteen months now, since the age of one.
It is a caring, nurturing environment that we believe strongly aids his personal, social and educational development.
Above all he is always very happy to go there and comes home with a big smile on his face every day.
Would highly recommend.

Our daughter started at Peaches and Pears full time when she was one (she's now 2 and a half) and I've been delighted with the service they provide.
As it's run by a family, there's a lovely family atmosphere with children of all ages playing and learning together. The activities children get involved in are really interesting and creative and there's also regular outings to parks, woods, libraries, and play activities. The team are really committed to caring for the children and are always coming up with new ways to help them learn and develop. There's also a big emphasis on social skills.
Whenever I've had any issues at home that have affected her, they've been really happy to provide support, advice and to take actions in the setting that support what you're trying to do at home e.g. with tooth brushing or how to start potty training.
Our daughter has really thrived here and it's been wonderful to know that she's so well cared for and gets to take part in such a variety of interesting and fun activities. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Peaches and Pears to others.

Our son attended Peaches and Pears for a year, from age one to two. During that time he really got to bond with some of the carers there and enjoyed his time thoroughly, quite often he didn't want to leave at the end of the day!
It's a well run family business that provides well thought out activities to stimulate the children. The carers were always accommodating and flexible when required, and for that we're very grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Peaches and Pears to local families requiring a safe and caring environment for their little ones.
Thank you for all your help, best wishes, Sam and Shazia.

Peaches and Pears provide a fantastic, warm family environment for the children they look after. My daughter loves going there and has benefited enormously from the attentive care and being around children of different ages.
They always do range of interesting, creative activities with the children and take them to local parks, libraries and playgroups. It’s great to get the daily diary outlining all activities, meals, sleep etc which is really useful.
They make healthy and varied home cooked meals and often do baking with the children which they love. Peaches and Pears are very proactive about teaching children manners and they focus on encouraging positive values. They provide detailed and comprehensive learning and development updates and take great care to keep children’s artwork and record their progress. They always have time to talk to you about your child and are interested in all aspects of their development.
Peaches and Pears are absolutely wonderful, we couldn’t be happier with them and are very happy to have found them. We always recommend them to friends.

We love Peaches and Pears. Without a doubt the best decision we made for our family was to put our first daughter with P+P. She has had a wonderful three years with them and we've now just added our twins as we are so delighted with the care and warm atmosphere.
The family work really well to ensure that the children are happy and developing, play is structured and progresses children well. Most importantly they are all really happy and enjoy the support they get from the whole family.
Our children really enjoy each day, come on really well and have developed manners I'm sure we didn't teach them. We love Peaches and Pears and can't thank them enough for being so great with/for our family. Our girls will remain P+P kids their whole lives! Thanks again. Ben

Brilliant familial atmosphere at Peaches and Pears - family of childminders provides cosy caring setting for babies and toddlers/preschool. Small mixed age group means that children learn from their peers and older children, like siblings do. Lots of creative, gently educative play, trips out etc. Proper varied and healthy homecooked hot meals - we couldn't ask for more. Our daughter adored her time at Peaches and Pears.

Peaches and Pears is a very special place , I feel so lucky to have found them.
My 2 children ( 2 and 4) have attended full time for over a year. I love that the kids get the love and attention of a family home with a nursery style environment.
It's great that they are together all day rather than in separate rooms and they speak fondly of the friends they have made there. A lot of time and effort goes into they activities and both children are thriving. They have made beautiful report books for each child with detailed feedback.
I have recommended Peaches and Pears to a friend whose child now also attends.

I have been using Peaches and Pears childminders for around three years and have been very happy with the care that they have provided for my two children. When we started with them they were looking after my pre schooler (3 1/2) and my youngest child (10 months) and they look after children of all ages brilliantly.
I loved receiving the detailed daily diaries when the children were little and later receiving the early years books full of photographs and drawings. Each day is different but Peaches and Pears make really good use of local facilities such as parks, libraries, gardens and children's centers. When they are at home they are always trying new creative activities in the garden or playroom and often come home with delicious home cooked treats that the children have made.
Peaches and Pears are very flexible and accommodating and handle school and nursery pick ups/drop offs very well. They communicate very well with parents and are always interested in everything that the children do outside of the childminder setting. As they can look after a larger number of children at one time than most childminders there is always a nice age range in the setting which helps them to mix well with other children and my children have both made great friends which has set them up nicely for when they move to school / nursery.
Thank you Peaches and Pears!

If you want reliable, flexible, caring, loving, friendly and trustworthy childcare provider then look no further! P&P are the best I have come across. My son joined them in 2011 and we couldn't be happier as we see him growing and flourishing with their dedicated care. He absolutely loves it there and sometimes I have to drag him home!
P&P family provides a home environment with many day trips to the local library, playgroups and parks, without the confinement of a nursery, which is what I was look for. They are also very suppotive and understanding when it comes to change, such as settling him back after a long break or with potty training.
I am always recommending P&P to all my local friends( two of them have already joined) as I couldn't wish for more in a childcare provider.

There is literally no negatives about this place. My daughter attended for a few years before we moved house and area and I, and my daughter, we're devestated to leave Peaches and Pears.
My daughter was extremely happy here and I was very confident that she was well cared for and educated by this lovely group of people.
I always found the carers informative, friendly and very well informed.
I loved that this place offered a combination of outings and a place at the home. I didn't want my daughter stuck in a room all day in a nursery. Here, she spent most mornings on day trips that included libraries, museums, play groups, local parks etc.
I always recommend Peaches and Pears to my local friends and, in fact, we found out about this place because it was recommended to us.
My daughter still talks about the carers and friends she made here.

My two children have been at Peaches and Pears part time since autumn 2011. We've been very pleased with their care, both when our son was there for full days before starting school and as an after-school pick up.
The Peaches and Pears family are very focused on providing good quality care to the children they look after and have also been very flexible when I've asked to change days etc. I've found them 100% reliable and responsive to changing needs.
We've been very pleased with the care that they offer and have recommended them to several other families, and would have no hesitation in doing the same in future.

My son came to Peaches and Pears six months ago when he was 13 months old. I had tried to get him into the local big nursery, but I am now so pleased that he didn't get a place there.
The women at Peaches and Pears are wonderful!
Really loving and caring, yet professional and organised.
As they are several childminders working together a number of children attend throughout the week and I love the way my son gets to interact with other children of different ages.
There is a real emphasis on family values with home cooked meals, clear routines and the children being shown good behaviour from a young age.
I quickly noticed that my son started handing me his plate after finishing his meals shortly after starting at Peaches and Pears.
They have several rooms permanently set up for the children as well as an outside space and the children spend time outside every day.
I feel completely safe leaving my son in their care and can see how he is turning in to a polite and confident little boy. Reading the daily diary they write about his day is always a highlight after picking him up.
I am truly so pleased to have found this place. They are flexible around my work requirements and I feel real engagement and care for my son.
A real gem!

My Son has been going to Peaches and Pears for over a year since he was 8 months old. Initially I had wanted my son to go to a nursery, I searched everywhere until I came across P & P, I am SO happy I did. They are a family run business with lots of other children of all ages so my son gets the benefit of mixing with different children like being at a nursery but also receives the comfort, warmth, cuddles and love of a family like being at home so the best of both worlds!
They are so flexible with my work too. It makes such a difference to have them understand the pressures and strains of being a full time Mum.
I know my son sees them as extended family rather than carers - he absolutely loves them all.
I have a son who is polite, confident and very happy and I strongly believe this is as much down to the girls at Peaches and Pears as it is to my husband and me.
I couldn't be happier with my choice of carers, they really are amazing!

After a long search for childcare, my son started at Peaches and Pears at 14 months. As this was his first childminder my partner and I were very concerned that he was happy and content. Now I feel like we have won the lottery at Peaches and Pears!
My son is so excited when he sees the front door and knows he will be spending the day with in friends in a fun, active and loving enviroment.
It is obvious that the Peaches and Pears family get as much from looking after the children and the children get from being there and each child is testament to the quality level of childcare they provide.
They have embraced each element of my son's personality and work daily on ensuring all the children are stimulated with different and varied activities. I love the diary I receive of my son's day and he has come on leaps and bounds with his speech, his manners and his interactions with other children.
Peaches and Pears have also been extremely accomadating of my work schedule and it's so comforting knowing he is in safe, fun, caring hands whilst I have to work.
I look forward to my son staying with Peaches and Pears and with another on the way I would be happy to secure I place for them too when I go back to work. You can feel confident with your childcare at Peaches and Pears.
