Caring, kind, attentive and excellent cook!

My daughter was looked after by Charmaine for about a year from around 18 months, unfortunately we had to move due to relocating. Charmaine is naturally warm, friendly and kind which is super important when leaving your child in somebody else's care (especially when its your first child and you have all the usual anxieties). Her home is bright, clean and tidy and has excellent toys, learning resources and a lovely back garden.

One of Charmaine's rarest qualities was her lovely homecooked food! Our daughter loved every meal, which were always balanced and healthy and made with love. Charmaine provided healthy snacks and meals everyday. This is quite rare as lots of childminders and nurseries offer basic meals like pasta everyday with sugary and salty snacks. Charmaine had a good community with other childminders and took our daughter to regular playgroups, playgrounds, local softplay and more.
Charmaine has her own children, 2 boys who are very polite and a joy to be around. Our daughter really benefitted from socialising with older (primary school age) children and we believe this helped her language skills tremendously.

One of our favourite things about Charmaine was her ease and flexibility. It meant that if we had a change in schedule, or needed extra/less days she was able to accommodate. In addition it meant that she appreciated our daughter for the individual she is - adapting to her needs and providing care, attention and life lessons where needed. Often childcare providers can be strict and rigid and try to mould your child in their own image, comparing them to other kids e.g. "Child X is using the potty now, you should too.". Charmaine never did this, she treated our daughter like one of her own.

Our daughter still talks about Charmaine months after leaving, which is just so sweet and speaks volumes of her time there. Overall I would highly recommend Charmaine as a childminder, you will feel like part of her family.

Safe, happy and stimulated!

My son is 16 months old and has been with Charmaine for 3 months now and I thank my stars everyday that I met her! She is so caring and attentive, my son adores her and her family and feels so at home there, she took away all the anxiety I had as a new mum leaving my child in care! He never cries anymore, unlike when he was at nursery he would cry before and after the day, leaping into my arms by the end of day. After just a few days of settling in at Charmaines I struggle to get him home hes so happy there! And his development has improved across the board it's so amazing to see! She takes them on adventure walks, engages them with a wide range of stimulus and sends pictures of how the day is going, which I love (always gives me a boost in the afternoons!) She also prepares fresh nutritious meals and gives helpful and important advise as a mum and former nurse which really goes a long way. No other provider for me! Thanks Char! xxx

Highly Recommend Charmain

My son, has been has been attending since he was 6 months old and he love it there.

In my opinion she is an excellent childminder. This is simply because of how happy my son is and how well he has developed.
She is very experienced, has a natural talent and empathy with children.
She put a great deal of effort into developing her skills with a wide range of training courses.
She is very good at noticing which toys and activities my son enjoys and lets us know, very observant about his development and good at keeping us informed.
She also provided a very healthy environment, a high standard of cooking and range of foods which am soo happy about.
We are blessed to have Chairman as a childminder.

Highly recommend Chairman.

A fantastic and caring childminder

Charmaine looks after my 3year-old and I was impressed how well he settled in. The facilities and environment is so appealing and it was always hard to take him away from it. Charmaine is flexible and very accommodating. I have to mention my son has a lot of allergies so I am always anxious when he is out.

I would strongly recommend her. I am confident your child will have a safe and lovely time with her.
