My daughter has been with Tara 2-3 days per week since she was 10months old. 2 years down the line and I am still thrilled with the level of care and professionalism that we receive.
Tara is a very warm and caring person and my daughter has thrived in her care. She provides a home from home with benefits such as her 2 lovely dogs (which now means that my daughter is very confident around animal despite us not having any as a family) the range of activities that she offers from days out to fab arts and crafts that we get to hang up at home and therefore share in our child's day.
The communication element that is so important when you are leaving your child in someone else's care, is excellent, with texts and emails with pictures if something particularly unmissable has occurred!
I have also been impressed and incredibly grateful for the flexibility that Tara provides us with, my son regularly joins his sister during school holidays and if we have needed any extra childcare at short notice Tara has always been open and obliging.
I wholeheartedly recommend Tara to anyone looking for childcare in the area.
Tara has been looking after our son Liam since January when he was just 9 months old. We have been thoroughly pleased with the level of care that she has offered him. She treats him as one of her own, showing him love and affection and generally being incredibly nurturing. It has been a great reassurance to us to leave our son with someone who is so kind hearted and caring.
Tara has really helped Liam to come on in leaps and bounds with his development. She is always thinking up new things to do; whether it be trips to feed the ducks, visiting the farm, seeing the animals at pets at home, playing at the park or general fun around the house. I know that Liam has enjoyed arts and crafts activities, storytime, musical activities and a whole host of other exciting and engaging experiences during his time with Tara. The level of thought and consideration put into mothers and fathers day crafts is really something else.
When we first decided to place Liam in Tara’s care, we were a little anxious of the dogs. I, myself, am not a dog lover and have always been a little nervy around them. We really needn’t have worried. Liam absolutely loves Tinkerbell and Rodney and being around them has helped to stop him from developing mummy’s dog phobia! In fact he has developed a great love of animals and I think the dogs are at least in part to thank for that ?
One of the most wonderful things about Tara is the level of communication that you receive as a parent. Not only does she keep a daily journal to show you what your little one has been getting up to but she also sends text updates and photos when she catches wow moments. When you’re at work and just wondering how the little ones are getting on, this is a really nice touch and I know that it has kept me going on some of the tougher days when I’d really rather have been at home with my baby! In addition to this, Tara is incredibly welcoming when you enter her home. You never feel rushed out as she always makes the time to talk to you about the days events. Having said that if you are in a rush, she doesn’t make you stay to chat. The level of communication is really tailored to suit your needs……I just like a lot!
We are really sad that Liam won’t be going to Tara anymore but the addition of a new member to the family means that he can be at home with his mummy and being elsewhere is just simply not financially viable. We wholeheartedly recommend Tara to anyone who is looking for someone to genuinely care about their child and his/her development. We will certainly be coming straight back to Tara when I am ready to return to work again.
When we first were looking for a childminder in early 2013 a few different people recommended Tara to us. After visiting a number of Childminders in the Bury St Edmunds area we knew that as soon as we met Tara that she was and is the right person to care for our two sons who were aged 3 and 1 ½ at the time. What differentiated her from all of the other carers, was her structured yet fluid approach, fantastic references and genuine passion for looking after children.
Tara brings great energy, love, attention and developmental skills to a home from home environment and provides a very open, safe and sociable atmosphere and has a unique ability to bring out the best in our children.
When we both found ourselves working fulltime, she would constantly keep us updated throughout the day with text messages, picture messages and emails so we felt that we were still in touch with our son’s daily activities.
Over the past 14 months Tara has become part of our family and has always gone the extra mile to help support our very busy lifestyles.
In summary she truly is one in a million and we would recommend her over any childminder within the area, and any family would be extremely lucky to have her as their childminder.
Tara looked after my daughter from 2008-2009 who was 18months, daisy enjoyed every minute with Tara and we was very sad when we no longer needed a childminder due to my work moving. Tara always went above and beyond what you would expect from a childminder. She offers home from home care and is very family orientated. She arranges trips out, including in the community, parks, picnics, playgroups and so much more. She has 2 lovely little dogs that are very much part of her family and loves all the children being around them. She always considers every childs individual needs and is extremely flexible. Tara played a very big part in daisys live and I will always be grateful I found such a caring childminder! anyone who chooses Tara to look after their children would never be disappointed she truly is a gem and an asset to any working family.
