Highly recommend and made my return to work easy

My daughter has been attending World of Wonder since she was 18 months old, and choosing Alex as her childminder was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Returning to work after an extended maternity leave was incredibly daunting, but Alex made the transition so much easier. Knowing my daughter was in a loving, nurturing environment brought me real peace of mind.

Alex offered as many settling-in sessions as my daughter needed, always prioritising her comfort and emotional well-being. The days are full of fun, adventure, and learning — Alex frequently takes the children on exciting outings, and no two days are ever the same. It’s clear she genuinely treats the children like her own, all while helping to prepare them for school with a strong foundation in learning and social development.

We receive daily photo updates, which are such a joy — seeing what our daughter is up to throughout the day brings us so much reassurance and happiness. She absolutely loves attending World of Wonder; in fact, she runs in with excitement every morning and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day!

I couldn’t recommend World of Wonder more highly. She has become like a part of our family, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my daughter's care.

Exceptional Childminder!

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Alex. She has looked after both of our children over the years, and we couldn’t have asked for a more caring, dedicated, and trustworthy person to support our family.

From day one, Alex made both of our children feel welcome, safe, and loved. Her home is always warm and inviting, with plenty of engaging activities, learning opportunities, and outdoor play. It’s clear she puts so much thought into everything she does—from themed weeks and creative crafts to gentle routines that help the children feel secure and confident.

What truly sets World of Wonder apart is her genuine passion for child development and her deep understanding of each child’s individual needs. She’s so patient, nurturing, and always in tune with our children’s personalities and emotions. It’s been amazing to watch them grow in confidence, communication, and curiosity under her care.

Communication has always been excellent—we’ve always felt informed, supported, and completely at ease knowing our children are in such capable hands. The updates, photos, and thoughtful feedback have been so appreciated.

We can’t thank her enough for the love, guidance, and stability she has provided to our family. She has played such an important role in our children’s early years, and we’ll always be grateful for the wonderful start she’s given them.

Excellent childminder!

I had my daughter at World of Wonder childcare from the age of 13 months until she was nearly 3, and it was the best decision I could have made. It was truly a home from home, my daughter absolutely loved going to see Alex and still lights up when she sees her now!

My daughter started at World of wonder as a quiet, shy toddler with a limited range of communication skills. At the time, it was a nerve-wracking experience for me, having to leave her with someone new after relying on family care up until that point. However, Alex’s approach immediately put me at ease.

She provided thorough and thoughtful settling-in sessions, which allowed my daughter to gradually adjust to the new environment and build a bond with Alex. These sessions set her up beautifully for her first full day, and I was confident she was in safe hands from day one.

Throughout her time at World of Wonder, I received regular updates on my daughters emotional well-being, her learning progress, new skills she was acquiring, and even how she was eating, sleeping, and toileting. These updates were incredibly useful in ensuring continuity of care and development at home. Additionally, we were always informed of the weekly learning themes, and it was so special to receive photos of my daughter engaged in activities that aligned with those topics.

The greatest testament to Alexs exceptional care is how happy my daughter has been. She looked forward to her days at World of Wonder and would often ask to return on weekends! It’s clear to us that my daughter thrived in such a warm, stimulating, and caring environment. Since being with Alex, we’ve seen an incredible transformation—my daughter is now a confident, outgoing little girl with an impressive range of communication skills. This has set her up so well for her recent transition to preschool.

We also appreciated the regular updates on policies, which were always reviewed and sent to us, providing both reassurance and clarity.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to have my daughter attend World of Wonder. I couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated and nurturing caregiver for her. We all miss Alex terribly since moving on in January, and we will forever be grateful for the wonderful experience she gave us!
