Candy and Chloe are wonderful people and have given our little boy such confidence and skills. He went to them on his 1st birthday for 5 days a week 7-430pm. They have really shaped his second year in a very positive way. He settled in quickly with some days in advance of full time. He is always excited to see these kind and caring ladies and the other children and has formed a strong bond with them and the other children in their care. He has enjoyed trips to the farm and sea life centre, colouring and drawing and lots of playing! He has learnt boundaries and manners e.g. how to share and say sorry. It pleasantly surprises me to see him do little things they have taught him - I’m grateful for their conscientious approach to building my little lad into a nice young man! Candy and Chloe have been a great support to us as a couple in our early parenthood, reassuring and communicating always. For all they’ve given us as a family we love them both very much - what higher recommendation can we give!
My daughter started going to Candy just over 2 years ago when she was 11 months old. She was extremely clingy and very distressed to start with leaving mummy. However Candy was amazing! She let us settle in about a month earlier than usual and very gradually. She kept me updated all of the time on how she was. Putting your trust in someone to look after your children is so difficult but I can safely say I know that my daughter is looked after by a kind, caring, safe environment as well as being taught day to day lessons on manners and compassion. She loves going to "Nanny" Candys house and has made some lovely friends. She has had some lovely days out including pottery painting, woods walks and park trips. Candy is very approachable. Brilliant communication with parents. And is always willing to help! I couldn't praise her highly enough!
My daughter has now been with Candy for 2 years, she has come on leaps and bounds.
I love the old fashioned way Candy is with the children and my daughter absolutely adores her, she can’t wait to go round there and has made some lovely friends there too.
Candy is extremely patient, she does lots with them and is very accommodating if there has ever been a problem.
I enjoy seeing the videos and photos, the children always look like they’re having the time of their lives and Candy is always great in communication.
I am so pleased I chose Candy to look after my daughter, she feels more than just a childminder and I already have my newborn signed up for when I go back to work, I wouldn’t want my children to go to anyone else.
We have always found Candy to be very helpful, understanding and good at what she does. We both felt comfortable leaving our son with Candy from a young age. Candy is always responsive and approachable and has provided any advice when we have asked. We are very happy with the care Candy provides and believe it is above and beyond what is expected.
My daughter has been with nanny candi now since 6 months old, she has now hit the apparent terrible twos, and yet she couldn't be a more content and happy little girl and I owe a lot of this to the superb child care she gets from her nanny candi. She loves going to nanny candi, always throws her arms out even when she's been dropped off at a very early time and I can walk away and go to work knowing my little girl is very happy to be there.
Nanny candi offers a home from home and I can't recommend her enough, my daughter is thriving in every aspect and again I owe alot of this to the wonderful care she receives.
We've been using Candy for around 14 years now. She looked after my eldest daughter and now has my youngest son who is 2.
Candy is welcoming to the children and where feasible encourages their interests to develop often seeking activities and adding to her vast collection of toys to ensure that they are being stimulated and more importantly, happy!
Candy offers an excellent standard of care to our son who is exceedingly happy at the Happy House. She always listens to the parents thoughts and I always feel she tries to accommodate our wishes especially when it comes to routines and structure.
I don't believe that there is anyone else that I would trust with caring for my children.
My eldest child was Candy's first charge. After a disastrous time with another childminder we moved her to Candy and didn't look back. We only stopped when we added to the family and I decided to be a stay at home mum. Well fourteen years later we find ourselves putting our little monster in to Candy's for a few days a week. He's been there since he was nine months and again we couldn't be happier with the way Candy works and develops the children. He's now 17m and we've had a brilliant seven months and more importantly he's happy. In the morning, when we're getting ready I say where we're going and he'll get his coat and shoes. It's not to far from being a home from home which is the atmosphere I want for him.
Candy's knowledge of children (the stuff the books don't teach you!) comes from experience. Also, Candy can be a wealth of support and knowledge and supports the choices that you make as a parent .
The Happy House is exactly that, happy. The children are excellently provided for from all aspects and aren't just seen as 'work'. They are helped to meet their social development as well as emotional and physical development.
We really could ask for better care for our little monster and couldn't make a higher recommendation.
I had to return back to work when our little girl was only 6 and half months old she had on going reflux problems and I was so worried about finding someone who could look after her at such a young age but after meeting Candi once we knew she was the one for us and she certainly has excelled our expectations
Our little girl is thriving she loves going to candi's and is completely smitten with Candi her lovely husband and also has big soft spot for their beautiful granddaughter, when I go to pick her up she is always playing happily with one of the children or Candi and the family.
our little girl is now 10 months old and is such a happily little sole and I think it's due to the love and attention she gets at home and at candi's as it like a home from home, we are so pleased we found Candi and would highly recommend her to anyone
My son first went to Candy when he was 20 months old and when Lewis started at The happy house he was a little bit shy and wasn't very good at playing with other children but now he is loud confident, cheeky and developing in so many ways. Candy has been amazing with Lewis and he loves going to see her (he has even said her name in his sleep).
Lewis is strong willed at times and dare I say, stubborn but, Candy deals with it in such a way that it never seems a problem. If he is naughty (and I know he is) he is told that he was wrong and thankfully never does it again. She is very good at teaching all the children how to be well mannered and even though there are times in The Happy House when it is full with children, they are all still polite. They all come to the door, say Hello and Goodbye which is something that Candy has helped them learn.
Lewis is starting to count, recognise colours and shapes, which again, is thanks to Candy. He does have an issue with eating at times but this is never a problem and Candy always reassures me that he is ok.
We all love Candy and we are so grateful with the way she has helped Lewis. So very highly recommended.
My two sons started going to Candy when they were 4 and half and two and half, which after a nursery school can be quite an adjustment. Candy made my boys so very welcome from day 1 and now after almost a year they run down the road to her house every day that they are with her. They are always so full of beans when I pick them up too its a competition as to who can tell me the most first when I collect them.
Candy makes it seem effortless looking after a number of children day in day out and I am sure its not. But she always manages to get around with a smile on her face, arrange different activities/ trips for them to do which cant be easy when you have so many different tastes and personalities to cater for.
At times I know my boys have tested her (as boys often do) and she always succeeds in helping them to see what is right and wrong and how they need to respect others. She is also very good at keeping you fully up to date with any concerns she may have and is more than willing to work with you or give advice on any worries that you may have.
She is an asset and a great find who I would highly recommend to anyone.
I know all her children love her and the the time they spend with her and that has to be the best recommendation anyone can give.
