About Us
Girls & Boys
We welcome girls and boys from the age of 2½ years; many girls progress into Burgess Hill Girls’ Reception class. The nursery has three well-resourced classrooms in which the younger children are in separate rooms to the older nursery children. These rooms have direct access to the nursery’s fabulous enclosed play area. We utilise the various areas on the main school campus including the superb hall with tiered seating and sports field.
Early Years Curriculum
Our dedicated team are qualified, friendly and genuinely care about each little person. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which is divided into seven areas of learning, we promote cross-curricular experiences wherever possible, we instill a desire in the children to ‘have a go’ and embrace all the opportunities on offer.
Inspection Report
In December 2014 the Independent Schools Inspectorate rated the Early Years department as outstanding across all areas commenting that ‘the education programmes provide interesting and challenging experiences, which are highly effective in promoting the children’s language, communication, personal, social and emotional development so that they reach levels that are typical for their age’.
Our Childcare Provision
Our Nursery operates 51 weeks of the year from 8am to 6pm, offering full-time nursery provision for both boys and girls aged from 2½ to 4 years.
There is also an option to select school day from 8.30am to 3.50pm.
Both full and school day options are available as part of the 51 week or term-time nursery provision*
*Earlier drop off and/or later pick up may be available by prior arrangement.
