About Us
Purbrook Park School is a Foundation and Trust Secondary School situated just north of Portsmouth, and occupies a range of buildings of various age and design, one with historical significance.
The school has 624 pupils on role, aged 11-16, and is situated in the District of Havant and competes locally for pupils with 7 other secondary schools. We attract pupils from a wide catchment area, having no official catchment area of our own. We also attract pupils from Portsmouth City.
Our most recent OFSTED report (May 2015), stated: ‘This is a happy and friendly school where most students are polite, look smart and show respect to others and their environment. Bullying, including through social media, is rare but is dealt with swiftly when it does occur. The focus on tolerance within the school has resulted in positive attitudes to differences in race, colour, beliefs, disabilities and sexuality; discriminatory language or behaviour is uncommon. Students behave sensibly and maturely in regards to the disruption to their site because of construction of a new building; they are looking forward to its completion.’
Our Childcare Provision
Purbrook Park School is open to Pupils at 7.45 am every day. Pupils can go into the newly furbished cafeteria and get a and get a hot breakfast every day.
The Discovery Centre, a safe place where children can study and do their homework is open to all pupils for an hour after school each day.
