St Catherine's CofE Nursery & Primary School is a voluntary aided school school in Newton Abbot. According to the latest government data, it has approximately 163 pupils and allows entry for children aged 3-11.
About Us
St. Catherine’s Primary School was founded in March 1898 and is a Voluntary Aided Church School. A brand new school building was completed in September 2005 and St. Catherine’s Nursery & Primary School now caters for children from 3 – 11 and averages 185 on roll. (Head of School – Marcus West). St. Catherine’s also offers an Early Birds Club as an early morning drop-off point for working parents.
With a purpose built new school the facilities on offer are the best they can possibly be and the staff and governors work tirelessly to ensure all children get the best care available.
St. Catherine's is part of a very successful federation of four schools, including St. Michael's School, Kingsteignton, St. Mary's School, Brixton and Marldon School, Paignton.
Spaces are often available and parents and carers are invited to contact the school to discuss availability.
Our Childcare Provision
The school has an Early Birds Club from 8-15 a.m. until 9-00 a.m.
The school nursery is currently offering 15 hours of free nursery care, where spaces are available, for children from the term after their third birthday.
